  • Patent number: 6748378
Abstract: A method of generating a SQL statement for retrieving a data set from a database via a user interface and a database server and then processing the data set recursively. The method comprises the following steps: a) inputting a nested n-pass expression to the user interface in a form that the database server cannot execute; and b) converting the nested n-pass expression into a SQL statement that the database server can execute, the SQL statement having a level of recursion for each level of nesting of the n-pass expression, each level of recursion operating in use on the results of at least one of the preceding levels.

  • Patent number: 6730186
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a coating film transfer tool which is made smaller to provide superior portability and which can implement the replacement of a used up coating film transfer tape with fewer operations. According to the invention, there is provided a coating film transfer tool which can facilitate the replacement of coating film transfer tapes markedly by constructing such that when the main body is divided to be opened for supply of the refill for replacement the head automatically rotates to the tape replacement position, whereas when the main body is closed after the replacement with the refill has been completed the tape is automatically taken up to be wrapped around the distal end portion of the head whereby transfer work becomes possible.

  • Patent number: 6726869
Abstract: A method of making molds for the production of golf balls is disclosed. A hob is made having an imperfectly spherical arcuate surface that is composed of at least two different arcs in continuous arrangement to each other. A mold half is formed using the hob so that the imperfectly spherical hob creates an imperfectly spherical golf ball cavity within the mold half. When used to make golf balls, the imperfectly spherical cavity results in golf balls having a higher degree of sphericity than golf balls made by spherical hobs and mold half cavities.

  • Patent number: 6728856
Abstract: A processor has an architecture that provides the processing speed advantages of the Harvard architecture, but does not require special purpose instructions or two separate external memories in order to expand both data memory and program instruction memory. The processor has separate program memory space and data memory space, but provides the capability to map at least a portion of the program memory space to the data memory space. This allows most program instructions that are processed to obtain the speed advantages of simultaneous program instruction and data access, yet provides a means to access program memory resident data without special purpose instructions. It also allows program memory space and data memory space to be expanded externally to the processor using only one external memory device that includes both program instructions and data.
