Patent number: 5594860Abstract: A printer controller system for converting a page description language datastream into a pagemap and for dispatching the pagemap to a print engine one band at a time. The system includes the steps of interpreting the PDL datastream to generate a plurality of rendering commands; partitioning the page into a plurality of bands; allocating memory for at least one of the bands; rendering a bitmap in the allocated memory by processing the rendering commands; monitoring access to the allocated memory while processing a rendering command; saving off the rendering command if the processing operation attempts to access memory outside of the allocated memory; and dispatching the bitmap to a print engine. The saved off rendering commands will be retrieved and processing of them will be resumed when rendering the bitmap of the next band. Preferably, the tasks of interpreting the PDL datastream, rendering the bitmaps of the bands, and dispatching the rendered bands, are performed in parallel by separate processing units.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 1995Date of Patent: January 14, 1997Assignee: Varis CorporationInventor: Forrest P. Patent number: 5564882Abstract: An apparatus for conveying and turning trays loaded with utensils including a feed conveyor which conveys trays through and around a semi-circular turning track. The turning track is delimited laterally by stationary, curved rails and to the inside toward the central point of curvature by a continuous inner belt, and having removal devices at the top end. The inner belt is provided with uniformly spaced outwardly projecting rods. The feed conveyor is in the form of a continuously driven chain conveyor which is drawn through in one piece to the upper end of the turning track, guided in the region of the turning track by rails for the chains arranged on either side to more reliably guide the trays and in order to make the drive of the entire device more sturdy in design.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 1994Date of Patent: October 15, 1996Assignee: Premark FEG CorporationInventor: Jurgen Litterst

Patent number: 5560554Abstract: A stator winding apparatus includes devices for adjustment of the pivot of the needle and of the stroke of the needle. The apparatus includes a winding shaft assembly which includes a drive shaft, a second shaft which reciprocates linearly in response to rotation of the drive shaft, and a third shaft in which said second shaft is coaxially received. A crank shaft is coupled by an adjustable coupling to the drive shaft and the second shaft to adjust the stroke of the second shaft. Reciprocation of the second shaft causes the needle to pivot radially inwardly and outwardly.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 1994Date of Patent: October 1, 1996Assignee: Odawara Engineering Co., Ltd.Inventors: Noburo Miyawaki, Tsutomu Furuya

Patent number: 5555569Abstract: A safety helmet and face mask system having an interface for suspending both the helmet and the face mask on a wearer's head by a single support web, thereby eliminating the need for separate support assemblies. The system includes a helmet having a shell and liner, hooks attached to opposite sides of the liner, and a face mask having a pair of O-rings slidably mounted on straps attached at upper and lower points on opposite sides of the mask. The O-rings releasably engage the hooks on the helmet liner to integrally interconnect the helmet and liner. Buckles are located on the sides of the mask so that the effective lengths of the straps between points of connection to the mask can be varied to draw the mask and helmet together and seat the helmet and mask properly on the wearer's head. The interface provides both horizontal and vertical support for the mask by a single strap on each side of the mask.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 1994Date of Patent: September 17, 1996Assignee: Firequip Helmets, Inc.Inventor: Abbott A. Patent number: 5553372Abstract: A method of inserting a pair of connecting portions of an insulation sheet into the slots in a stator core is disclosed. The insulation sheet includes a pair of body portions interconnected at their opposite ends by the connecting portions. The top sheet in a stack of insulation sheets is picked up and manipulated to be disposed in a vertical position. The vertically disposed insulation sheet is then gripped at positions slightly spaced inwardly from the opposite end areas of each body portion. After being gripped, the sheet is moved to a position above the stator core. At the position above the core, the intermediate area of each body portion is bowed to assume a "U" shape whereas the opposite end areas of each body portion are disposed in registry with predetermined slots of the stator core, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 1994Date of Patent: September 10, 1996Assignee: Odawara Engineering KKInventors: Takayuki Tsugawa, Masahiro Tomita

Patent number: 5551142Abstract: The invention is a stator lamination jig system which comprises a centrally located spindle and a support for a stator lamination having a plurality of holes therein. The support is rotatively-mounted on the spindle for driving the lamination during a notching operation. A plate is included to secure the lamination on the support and a non-rotatable ejector is located below the support which has a lowered position and a raised position. An ejection cylinder is seated upon the ejector which is shaped and positioned to extend through holes in the support. The invention also comprises a cylinder connected to the ejector for driving the ejector. When the cylinder is actuated upwards, the ejector is in a raised position which urges the ejection cylinder through the holes in the support to cause the lamination to be released from the jig.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 1995Date of Patent: September 3, 1996Assignee: Dayton-Phoenix Group, Inc.Inventors: Gale A. Patent number: 5550738Abstract: A vehicle monitoring system having a microprocessor-based vehicle recording unit, a remote computerized data reporting unit and a data transfer interface. The vehicle recording unit is mounted on the vehicle and is automatically activated by a vibration sensor signal each time the vehicle is used, to time-stamp each trip and record the distance travelled. The vehicle unit updates and records the distance traveled based upon the number of pulses received from a magnetic sensor mounted on the vehicle. After data from a trip has been recorded in the vehicle unit, a data interface such as an electronic memory card is used to download the data to the remote reporting unit for analysis and generation of reports on trip activity.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 1994Date of Patent: August 27, 1996Assignee: TeamNet, Inc.Inventors: Brian L.
