  • Patent number: 7097037
Abstract: A cover assembly for a medication dispenser including a container defining a plurality of open-top medication compartments adapted to be closed by a compartment cover assembly including a plurality of individual covers selectively connected together. Each cover includes an integral fracturable tab depending from one end and coacting means on the container for securing the tabs in a snap-fit relationship when the cover is positioned to close its respective compartments. Each tab is independently secured relative to the container and fractured from its respective cover in response to upward movement of the opposite end of the cover to open the compartment. In one embodiment, the tab has a plurality of spaced-apart openings formed therein to create a weakened area to facilitate the separation of the cover from the tab. In another embodiment, a pair of notches extend into the sides of the tab.

  • Patent number: 7097799
Abstract: A method of forming prosthetic sockets is provided that first creates a negative mold of the patient's residual limb while it is disposed in a positive flexion position. The mold is then removed and shaped to permit the desired range of flexion when the mold is repositioned on the residual limb. A second cast is made of the residual limb that incorporates the mold. A positive model of the residual limb is then formed, from which test or definitive sockets may be formed. The present method further lends itself to the formation of sockets using a cast-in-place methodology while the limb is disposed in a positive flexion position.

  • Patent number: 7094116
Abstract: The progressive die tooling component carrier is adapted to serve as a hinge connection between the components that it connects. The carrier allows for the reeling of a series of components for storage and transportation without causing the warping or bending of the components. Preferably, the hinge connection is achieved by providing the carrier with a compression, a perforation, or both a compression and a perforation. The carrier is designed to further minimize the scrap resulting from the removal of the carrier from the adjoining components.

  • Patent number: 7090626
Abstract: The exercise device of the present invention includes an elongated rigid bar having a handle disposed at one end and a joint projection disposed at the opposite end. The joint projection is pivotably received by the joint collar of an exercise attachment. In an alternate embodiment, a second joint projection is provided at the opposite end of the exercise device to pivotably receive a second exercise attachment. The pivoting connection between the exercise attachments and the rod mimics normal biomechanical movement to decrease the chance of injury or re-injury to the user. The exercise device is telescopically extendable to selectively change its usable length.

  • Patent number: 7082707
Abstract: A support truss for a messaging sign comprising an elevated box truss which extends over a roadway and which has its opposite ends secured to upstanding supports. The box truss is comprised of a plurality of box truss sections secured to one another in an end-to-end relationship with at least one of the box truss sections adapted to have one or more messaging signs mounted therein. The messaging signs are horizontally slidably adjustably mounted on the box truss section so that the box truss section can accommodate signs having various thicknesses. The box truss in which the messaging sign is mounted is designed so that the face of the sign is unobstructed to permit motorists to readily observe the messages on the sign. A walkway is provided within the truss rearwardly of the messaging sign.

  • Patent number: 7080608
Abstract: An apparatus for washing animals is disclosed comprising a container having a bottom surface and a platform spaced vertically from the bottom surface. An animal is positioned on a pad disposed on the platform. The pad and platform are shaped so that the washing liquid runs freely from the pad and platform to the bottom surface of the container. A trough is positioned adjacent the bottom surface of the container for receiving the washing liquid. A trough basket collects hair and other debris to keep the drain clear. An external well is positioned adjacent to the trough to provide an area for receiving a recirculating pump for use in minimizing the use of washing liquid required to wash the animal.
