  • Patent number: 6243029
Abstract: The invention is a method of monitoring and assessing a fee for parking a vehicle in a toll parking location where the user pays only for the actual parking time used. The invention includes providing indicia for a toll parking location and unique indicia for a vehicle to be positioned in that parking location. The user notifies a remote central control unit the location indicia, the vehicle unique indicia, and the start time of parking the vehicle in the location. Later, the user notifies the remote central control unit of the vehicle unique indicia, and the finish time of parking the vehicle in the location. The remote central control unit then assesses a fee to the user for the duration of time the vehicle occupied the parking location. A method of monitoring parked vehicles to assure compliance with toll parking regulations is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6227357
Abstract: The invention is a device, such as a chute or a conveyor belt, for receiving and transferring work pieces in a factory, mounted on a set of legs with lockable wheels at the bottom of each leg. Each leg is equipped with an hydraulic extension unit that is operated by air pressure. The air pressure is provided, for instance, from a machine, such as a press, that performs work on the work piece. Each leg is individually adjustable by the pneumatic extension unit, allowing the device atop the legs to be adjusted in height from the support surface, and maintained level or tilted from side to side or front to back. The wheels on the leg bottoms allow the device supported on the legs to easily move from one location to another on the factory floor. The legs may optionally be designed to fold up against the bottom of the supported device for ease of storage of the device.

  • Patent number: 6206209
Abstract: The invention is a belt, tie or scarf holder that hangs from a support and accommodates a number of apparel items. The body of the device is a cylindrical member that hangs from a support by a chain and hook. The cylindrical member contains numerous hook and latch fasteners. The fasteners are attached vertically to the surface of the cylinder. The fasteners are J-shaped with the a latch portion biased to remain pointed at the curved end of the fastener. The latch portion is hinged to move both upwardly and downwardly. The fasteners allow a belt or tie to displace the hinged portion downwardly as the item is hooked on the rigid bottom portion. The fastener also allows the belt or tie to displace the hinged portion upwardly to remove the item from the rigid bottom portion. The cylinder rotates on the chain support for easy access to all items fastened to the hooks.

  • Patent number: 6126374
Abstract: The invention is a bale loading arm that is used in combination with a tilt bed wagon or truck. The arm is mounted in front of the wagon bed on the wagon tongue. A bottom boom lift assembly, attached to the base frame on the tongue, pivots vertically by means of a hydraulic cylinder. An L-shaped rotating lift arm assembly is attached to the top of the boom lift, and pivots horizontally by means of a worm drive gearbox at the top of the boom lift. The lift arm extends perpendicularly away from the boom lift, and by means of another hydraulic cylinder, enables the bale lift assembly to reversibly engage bales. The bale arm assembly boom lift pivots down to engage a bale with the clamp assembly, then pivots up to elevate the bale. The lift arm assembly then rotates the bale over the wagon bed and deposits the bale on the bed or atop other bales on the bed. The combined pivoting and rotating of the two assemblies allow the operator a high degree of control in stacking the bales on the wagon bed.
