  • Patent number: 4154200
Abstract: The machine comprises one cylinder in which two symmetrical opposed working pistons are placed. A gas-oil introduced between the pistons burns and causes a reciprocating motion of the working pistons against the return motion of two resilient devices. An energy is produced thereby and is extracted without mechanical connections. The mass of the working pistons ranges between 5 and 30 grams per cm.sup.3 of the cylinder. The quantity of gas-oil ranges between 0.01 and 0.02 milligram per cm.sup.3 of the cylinder. The resilient devices are effective for accumulating and sending back upon each reciprocating motion thereof a power ranging between 0.5 and 2 joules per cm.sup.3 of the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4150926
Abstract: The specification describes a rotary piston compressor with a double-arcuate trochoidal casing track, with which a triangular piston, rotating on an eccentric shaft, makes constant sliding contact at its corners. Transfer flow pockets are provided via which the following working chamber already shuts off, and in the vicinity of the dead center position, is connected for a short time with the compression chamber coming in front of it. The transfer flow recesses are provided in at least one side part of the compressor, extend under its housing casing and extend so far inwards radially in its side wall that they are not swept by the sealing strip. Their timing edge, lying to the fore in the direction of rotation of the piston, is determined by the position of the preceding piston corner of the chamber located in the dead center position.

  • Patent number: 4147134
Abstract: A boiler having a hot gas generator for burning liquid or gaseous fuels. The hot gas generator comprises a combustion chamber unit, into the combustion chamber of which the fuel and air for combustion are introduced and in which the combustion of the fuel takes place. The combustion gases are conveyed out of the combustion chamber into a water cooled boiler firebox. A compressor supplies the air for combustion into the combustion chamber unit. A flue gas conduit, which leads to the flue gas vent of the boiler, at its inlet end, which is connected with the boiler firebox, is connected with the air intake of the compressor of the hot gas generator for recirculating a regulatable amount of flue gases into the combustion chamber unit of the hot gas generator. The flue gas conduit offers a resistance to the flow of flue gas therein, which resistance is greater than the chimney draft force present in the flue gas vent of the boiler.

  • Patent number: 4144542
Abstract: The specification describes an audio-visual reproduction device for transmitted light recordings of picture, audio and control signals, in a spiral on a disc-shaped information vehicle. Adjacent to the information vehicle there is an arrangement, including on one side an illuminating device and on the other side an optical sensing device for the signals. Furthermore means are provided by which the signals from the information vehicle are converted into pulses processed by a TV receiver. Displacements of the vehicle in the direction perpendicular to its plane are compensated for on the basis of optical signals. Picture, audio and control signals of the information track are continuously projected on to a single line photodiode array by an objective, which is caused automatically to follow the vertical displacements of the information vehicle, that is to say such displacements as occur perpendicularly to its plane. The information track has a strip-like control track for compensating for vertical displacements.

  • Patent number: 4143851
Abstract: A gas-oil drive for forward and reverse mechanical adjusting movements. Gas, which is available for every direction of movement of an adjusting drive at a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure, conveys its pressure in a pressure tank to control oil which flows to an adjusting device for carrying out a control operation. For both oppositely directed adjusting movements of the gas-oil drive, a single pressure tank for delivering control oil under pressure to the respective corresponding position of the adjusting device, and a single unpressurized container for receiving expelled, unpressurized control oil are provided. The unpressurized container is located above the level of the pressure tank, and a bore on the unpressurized container is connected with a bore on the pressure tank by means of a control oil line in which is located a check valve which closes in a direction of flow toward the unpressurized container.
