Patent number: 6730251Abstract: A method of using a multi-purpose processing apparatus for simultaneously performing an injection molding operation and a cutting/forming operation. The multi-purpose apparatus places a forming operation into unused space within the injection molding machine, thereby utilizing the already present injection molding clamping pressure to pressure form parts. The apparatus results in a method that combines the three steps of forming, cutting, and injection molding into one continuous operation performed within the injection molding machine, as well as eliminating the need for numerous pre-injection molding steps.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2002Date of Patent: May 4, 2004Assignee: Serigraph Inc.Inventors: Kurt Eschenfelder, Loren R. Johansen, Michael D. McElhatton, Michael Ruminski

Patent number: 6684945Abstract: An air filter for a well is installed within a well casing of the well. The air filter forming an airtight seal around the well casing of the well, such that all the air that enters and exits the well must pass through the air filter. The air filter preferably includes a filter housing, at least one removable gasket and a removable filter cartridge installed within an opening extending through the filter housing. The air filter prevents dirt, dust, bacteria, gaseous chemicals, volatile organic compounds, (VOCs), insects and other air born contaminants from entering and possibly contaminating the well. An air filter may also be installed within a vent pipe extending through a well seal attached to the top of a well casing of a well.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 2002Date of Patent: February 3, 2004Assignee: In-Well Technologies, Inc.Inventor: Kenneth A. Patent number: 6661870Abstract: A method of compensating for unexpected changes in the size, shape, and/or position of a patient in the delivery of radiation therapy. An image of a patient is used to prepare a treatment plan for the irradiation of a tumor or the like, shown in the image. A second image of a patient includes a visual representation of the tumor and sensitive structures wherein any combination of the size, shape, or position of the tumor or sensitive structures is different from any combination of the size, shape, or position of the visual representation of the tumor or sensitive structures in said first image. The radiation treatment is adjusted to more closely conform the treatment plan to the new size, shape, or position of the tumor as shown in said second image. This adjustment can occur before, during, or after the radiation delivery and can be used to define trade-offs that exist for the delivery.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2001Date of Patent: December 9, 2003Assignee: TomoTherapy IncorporatedInventors: Jeffrey M. Kapatoes, Gustavo H. Olivera, Paul J. Reckwerdt, Thomas R. Mackie, Kenneth J. Ruchala

Patent number: 6497567Abstract: A multi-purpose processing apparatus able to perform both an injection molding operation and a cutting/forming operation. The multi-purpose apparatus places a forming operation into unused space within the injection molding machine, thereby utilizing the already present injection molding clamping pressure to pressure form parts. The apparatus results in a process which combines the three steps of forming, cutting, and injection molding into one continuous operation performed within the injection molding machine, as well as eliminating the need for numerous pre-injection molding steps.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 1999Date of Patent: December 24, 2002Assignee: Serigraph Inc.Inventors: Kurt F Eschenfelder, Loren R. Patent number: 6490849Abstract: A powered lawn mower having a frame, an engine mounted to the frame, a set of front wheels and a set of rear drive wheels connected to the frame. Attached to the rear of the frame is a standing platform positioned in front of the rear wheel axles so that the center of gravity is moved forward over the center of the mower with an operator standing on the platform. The positioning of the platform substantially improves the stability and safety of the mower. The platform, capable of supporting the weight of a standing operator, is mounted to the frame of the mower with a plurality of springs mounted between the platform and the frame to cushion the ride of the operator. The mower may also include as seat assembly removably attachable to the frame of the mower and positioned substantially above the platform. The seat assembly includes an attachment mechanism designed to be removably attached to the frame, so that an operator can choose between a standing position and a seated position.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2000Date of Patent: December 10, 2002Assignee: Great Dane Power Equipment, Inc.Inventors: Dane T. Patent number: 6473169Abstract: An integrated leak and vision inspection system is provided that accurately and efficiently inspects a bottle or other container for manufacturing defects. The system provides a series of visual inspection stations with cameras and lighting that are integrated onto a rotary inspection system for on-line inspection of containers. A microprocessor in data communication with each of the inspection stations receives and analyzes image data of the particular area or parameter of the container being inspected or tested, and generates data relating to the container based upon predetermined criteria. The stations are arranged to provide an integrated and fully automated and efficient inspection system. In the preferred embodiment, the system is structured with a first station integrated with an entry starwheel to inspect the top seal surface of the container.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2000Date of Patent: October 29, 2002Assignee: Air Logic Power Systems, Inc.Inventors: James M. Patent number: 6453021Abstract: A voice mail messaging display system having a means for receiving telephone calls, and a data processor or computer coupled to the means for receiving telephone calls. The computer has a memory storing a voice mail program and a message board program. The voice mail program answers the telephone calls received by the means for receiving telephone calls and generates message records of the telephone calls. The message board program uses the message records and generates a display signal based on the message records. A signal conversion mechanism is coupled to the data processor and converts the display signal to a desired format. The converted display signal is delivered to at least one display device positioned in an area where a large number of people may see the display. Any person who is a subscriber of the system may review the display to determine if he or she has received any messages and, if so, may then dial into the computer to retrieve his or her messages.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1998Date of Patent: September 17, 2002Inventors: Robert L. Patent number: 6349765Abstract: A water pressure system includes a pressure tank installed underground within the well casing of a well. The water pressure system includes a submersible pump connected to the inlet of the pressure tank by a drop pipe. The outlet of the pressure tank is connected to a second drop pipe and in turn to a discharge pipe for distribution of pressurized water to a house or other building. A pressure switch is connected to the pressure tank for controlling the submersible pump. The pressure tank includes an outer sidewall with an inlet end and an outlet end. An expandable diaphragm bladder located within the outer sidewall is connected between the inlet and outlet of the tank. A tube extends through the center of the bladder between an inlet opening and an outlet opening. The tube has a plurality of holes therein to allow water to flow through the tube and into and out of the expandable bladder. Pressurized air fills the empty space between the bladder and the outer sidewall to pressurize the water in the bladder.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 1999Date of Patent: February 26, 2002Assignee: In-Well Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Kenneth A.
