Abstract: The present invention relates to a tractor trailer power system for powering a hydraulic liftgate and other components in the trailer so the tractor engine does not have to run to maintain the battery charge of the trailer batteries.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a temporary grate cover apparatus for placement over a storm water grate to filter sediment and trash from entering the storm drain during a construction project and to a method of making and attaching a storm water grate cover to a storm water grate.
Abstract: The present invention is a storm water filter system for filtering floatable debris and non-floating pollutants from storm water passing through a storm water drain system. The storm water filtering system has a floatable skimmer therein for capturing floatable debris and trash from the storm water and a separate filtration system to filter non-floatable pollutants from water passing therethrough.
Abstract: A floatable skimmer apparatus is movably attached in a storm water filter box with a pair of tracks attached in the housing chamber of the filter box. A floatable skimmer has a skimmer panel having floatation members attached to the inlet side of the storm water filter box for raising and lowering the skimmer panel responsive to the rise and fall of storm water in the housing chamber. Storm water is forced under the bottom of the floatable skimmer panel while blocking floatable debris from entering the housing chamber outlet. A floatable hydrocarbon absorbing boom is attached to the skimmer panel and floated independent thereof.
Abstract: The present invention is for a self-cleaning filter basket for an overflow structure for a retention pond or storm water system. The filter basket is attached to the overflow structure over the outlet weir so that floating debris, such as trash, leaves, glass clippings, tree stems, and the like, is captured by the filter basket while sand, gravel and non-floating materials pass through the filter screen. The self-cleaning filter basket screens are cleaned by water, such as rain water, being directed through openings in the top of the filter basket to impinge against the angled screen sides in the filter basket to flush accumulated debris therefrom.

Abstract: An electric brake circuit for holding an alternating current motor rotor stationary uses a direct current brake acting on an AC motor rotor. The rotor has at least one groove formed therein positioned for alignment with at least one AC motor pole when switching from an alternating current to DC. The AC induction motor holds the rotor stationary against a heavier load by using the grooved rotor with the grooves formed in the rotor aligning with the AC motor's poles.
Abstract: A door and panel dolly apparatus has a frame having a telescoping center frame member with a perpendicular wheel frame member on one end and a perpendicular panel support frame member on the other end. Both the wheeled frame member and the floor support frame member have a pair of generally perpendicular panel support post extending therefrom and a swinging door clamp attached thereto. Each swinging panel clamp is positioned to swing from an open position to a closed clamping position for clamping a panel between two clamps or against a perpendicular clamp post. The pair of swinging panel clamps are each attached to a clamp post and have a rod with a clamping surface on one end thereof for threadedly adjusting each of the swinging clamps to clamp a panel of different widths. Each swinging panel clamp is a toggling clamp mechanism.
Abstract: A nutrient separating filter basket apparatus for a storm water drain system has an adjustable filter basket installed in a storm water drain pipe system to receive storm water runoff therethrough. The filter basket collects organic materials, such as grass clippings, leaves and tree stems therein and is adjustable for different ground water levels.

Abstract: A street curb filter apparatus can be attached to a street curb side adjacent a manhole to collect storm water runoff from the curbside and direct the collected storm water through a filter basket. The street curb filter has a street curb shelf with a water channel on the surface thereof and filter basket supporting arms. The filter basket supporting arms are positioned to receive collected storm water runoff from the water channels in the street curb shelf. The filter basket is shaped to fit into a storm water manhole opening and is removably attached to the street curb shelf filter basket arms to receive storm water runoff from the water channeling surface.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a decorative waterfall apparatus and more particularly to a decorative waterfall having a decorative image on a backboard which can be rapidly changed by removing the removable mounted backboard and changing a polymer film having a decorative image thereon extending thereover.
Abstract: A process for applying a protective covering for a cast or wound to a patient includes the steps of selecting an elongated waterproof flexible transparent polymer bag having an opening in at least one end thereof and then cutting the selected bag to a predetermined length and sliding it over a patient's appendage to cover a cast or wound. A roll of elongated high cling plastic stretch film having a thickness between 50 and 200 gauge is then selected and wrapped around at least one end of the open end of the polymer bag adjacent the patient's appendage with a plurality of wraps while stretching the plastic stretch film to form a waterproof seal between the bag and the patient's appendage so that a waterproof cover is provided for the patient's wound or cast.
Abstract: A storm water filter box has a floatable skimmer apparatus for preventing floatable debris from entering the filter box outlet. The filter box has an inlet and an outlet and an inlet filter located in the filter box housing. A portable skimmer is positioned in the box between the inlet and outlet and will rise and fall with the water level in the filter box to keep the top of the skimmer above the water level and force the storm water passing through the filter box under the floatable skimmer thereby blocking floatable debris from entering the filter box outlet.

Abstract: A retractable light fixture apparatus has a fixture housing for mounting in or to the wall of a building or under the eave of a building. A lamp housing and lamp is hinged to the fixture housing and is movable from a closed to an open position by an electric motor and from an open to a closed position by a gas spring. An electric brake holds the lamp housing in an open position against the gas spring whenever electric power is applied thereto.
