Abstract: A method of draining water entering a building having a foundation wall with no footing by removing a portion of the slab floor adjacent to the foundation wall and digging a trench and a divot trench, placing a cove base against felt and against the foundation wall with the cove base extending from above the slab floor and down into the trench divot. The trench divot is lined with felt, and a drain conduit is placed into the trench having apertures aligned with apertures formed in the cove base to direct water coming from the foundation wall behind the cove base, through the aligned apertures to be directed into the conduit to a remote location, such conduit being covered by fill and a vapor barrier and with concrete poured thereover and leveled to the height of the slab floor.
Abstract: A train detector having dual ultrasonic sensors positioned adjacent to a rail for sensing the movement thereby of a train wheel and determining the direction and speed of the train for transmitting such information to nearby workers and signal devices and a method of train detecting are disclosed.
Abstract: A portable trip cock tripper for use with a train having a trip cock mounted thereon, such trip cock tripper being manually positionable in desired locations adjacent to a track rail and remotely operated for movement of its tripper arm from a trip cock engaging position to a non-trip cock contacting position.
Abstract: A tool and method of repair for removing a bulge in a stained glass window by providing at least one aperture in the metal earning of the stained glass window; positioning at least one threaded rod member through at least one of such aperture(s); further positioning two tool members one on each side of the stained glass window, each tool member having at least one aperture defined therein and a flat surface with the flat surface of one tool member being positioned against the bulge in the stained glass window and the other positioned behind the bulge, each of such tool members receiving such rod member(s), respectively, in such tool member aperture(s).
Abstract: A tennis scoring system utilizing a display unit having a plurality of colored indicia areas disposed within at least a first and second scoring bar, each of such colored indicia areas of the first and second scoring bars representing, respectively, the games and sets to be won by the first and second players, each of such colored indicia areas in the first and second scoring bars to be changed in color in sequence whenever a player wins a game, such changed colored indicia representing the scores of games and sets won by the two players in a tennis match.
