Abstract: A gasoline can having a nozzle assembly which includes a ball valve that is in an open mode when the can's nozzle is lifted for pouring, and which when the can's nozzle is in a lowered storage mode, the ball valve is closed.
Abstract: A bulkhead floor drain for positioning in the basement floor at the base of bulkhead stairs, such bulkhead floor drain extending beyond each side of the width of such bulkhead stair opening. The bulkhead floor drain has a top cover member and a lower channel duct positioned thereunder, such top cover member having a plurality of diagonal slots defined therein for passage therethrough of water and debris coming down said bulkhead stairs and falling into the lower channel duct, such bulkhead floor drain to direct such water to drainage areas to prevent water from flowing further onto the basement floor.
Abstract: A window rain shield ventilator for installation in an open window, such ventilator having slideably extending first and second ventilator shield members attached, respectively, to first and second flange members, each flange member having at least one rotatable engagement member to aid in retaining the ventilator in the window's sash channels.
Abstract: A gutter debris deflector for preventing debris, such as pine needles, access to a rain gutter attached to a residential home, such gutter debris deflector having an upper portion that is attached to the roof boards of the home and a lower portion that has an upper and a lower set of angular slots forming a plurality of angular rib members therebetween with a spacer portion therebetween, such deflector extending across the gutter to prevent debris from entering therein.
Abstract: A system for use by a railroad to warn railroad workers, track walker, railroad personnel and others of oncoming train(s) and to warn the train operator(s) of such train(s) of the presence of railroad workers, track walker railroad personnel, other train(s) and others on or near the railroad tracks, such system including at least one train transceiver for each train for sensing signals transmitted by at least one of a plurality of personal transmitter/receivers, one personal transmitter/receiver being worn by each of such railroad workers, track walker and railroad personnel, such train transceiver(s) to warn the train operator(s) of the presence of railroad workers, track walker, other train(s), and railroad personnel on or near the tracks when receiving signals from the personal transmitter/receivers, such personal transmitter/receivers receiving signals from the train transceiver(s) to warn the railroad workers, track walker and railroad personnel of oncoming train(s) with such warning signal activating ne
Abstract: A process for producing a strong, lightweight, pH-neutral phenolic foam by providing a novelac resin and a resole resin with a solid-state blowing agent activated at a specific time in a melt for the formation of a foam.
Abstract: The application of a gel-like material is disclosed for cleaning a surface having foreign matter thereon, such gel-like material produced by magnetically treating and mixing two solutions, the first solution being comprised of water and sodium bicarbonate and the second solution comprised of water and sodium silicate. The first solution is passed through a positively charged magnetic field, and the second solution is passed through a negatively charged magnetic field. The two solutions are then mixed together to form a gel.
Abstract: An ice hockey training device providing goalie training in preventing pucks, particularly deflected or “tipped” pucks, from entering the goal is disclosed. The device is disposed on ice or other playing surface in front of a goal guarded by a goalie, the device having a plurality of vertically disposed puck deflectors arrayed in a parallel series through which array the puck is shot at the goal by a player and strikes a puck deflector member to be deflected at an angle from its original path of travel. A plurality of horizontally disposed members are suspended behind the vertically disposed puck deflector members.
Abstract: An ice hockey training device providing goalie training in preventing pucks, particularly deflected or “tipped” pucks, from entering an ice hockey goal is disclosed. The device is disposed on a playing surface in front of a goal guarded by a goalie. The device consists of a base deflector having a planar surface in one embodiment of the invention disposed at an upward angle which can direct pucks traveling on the playing surface that are hit by a player to ride up onto the upwardly angled planar surface of the base deflector and be directed upwards at the goal. In other embodiments a plurality of angled members can be disposed on the top surface of the base deflector, causing a puck traveling in a first path of travel and striking one or more of such angled members to be directed upwards at the goal at a second path of travel.
