Abstract: A hand-held spit for barbecuing or roasting weiners, sausages, chicken pieces and the like over an open fire includes an elongated metal, strap-like frame which supports a handle at one end thereof and which is formed at its opposite end with an annular loop on which is carried a plurality of quickly detachable, U-shaped, radially extending tines or skewers. The skewers are normally snap-fitted on the loop of the frame, but are easily removed therefrom for cleaning, packaging and/or storage.
Abstract: A viable fungal culture of the genus Arthrobotrys is combined with substantially dormant Rhizobia bacteria and a carbohydrate nutrient to provide a legume-inoculating composition which may be packaged, transported and stored for a reasonable time prior to its usage.

Abstract: A prefabricated wall features coplanar triple-channelled upper cap and lower sill members joined in vertically spaced relation by vertical frame members rigidly fastened in the medial channels of the cap and sill members, and exterior panels removably carried in the lateral channels of the sill and cap members in covering relation to the vertical frame members. The sill member also includes an underlying channel which houses an adjustable leveling device upon which the sill is mounted.
Abstract: An I.V. fluid receptacle holder for attachment to the ceiling of an ambulance, or the like, features a receptacle-stabilizing arm that is pivotally connected to a shallow, ceiling-mounted, supporting frame for swinging movement between a generally horizontal position flush with the ceiling, and a vertically dependent position of use, and which is locked by spring pressed means in both positions.
Abstract: A merchandise cabinet having display and drawer bearing areas is equipped with a drawer locking apparatus comprising drawer mounted abutment means, a rigid locking frame slidably mounted for lateral movement into and out of engagement with the abutment means, and an engagement lever carried on the locking frame and extending into the path of an access door provided in the display area.
Abstract: A disposable-type hat or cap features a circumferential headband and a pleated, accordion-like crown portion marginally attached to inner surfaces of the headband. The crown is fashioned so that it may be either recessed within or elevated above the headband and is provided with an adjustable portion to permit head size adjustment of the headband.
Abstract: A sprocket chain for use in a normally corrosive environment is made up of identical, clevis-type links of synthetic resin composition pivotally connected by quick detachable, twist-locking pivot pins also of synthetic resin composition. The links are each formed at one end thereof with relatively spaced apart, transversely aligned eyes which may be resiliently flexed inwardly toward one another to permit a locking lug on the pivot pin to move into snap-locking engagement with a notch or dwell formed in a cam-like locking surface on one of the eyes of the link. The pivot pins are quickly removable from the links by simply rotating the pin about 90 degrees in either direction and thereafter withdrawing the pin axially from the eyes of the link.
Abstract: A disposable paper cap features a size adjustable head-band having a pair of relatively telescoping male and female end flaps and formed with inwardly folded upper and lower hem portions separated by a single thickness intermediate section, and a pleated crown having opposite, downturned side panels one of which is adhesively secured to both the upper and lower hem portions of the female end flap of the headband to define therewith an open ended envelope slidably encasing the male end flap of the headband.
Abstract: A reciprocating piston-type internal combustion engine is equipped with a variable length connecting rod which is operable in response to engine oil pump pressures to cause a low throttle fuel charge to be compressed in the engine cylinder to substantially the same pressure as an open throttle fuel charge. An adjustable pressure regulator valve is provided to insure a substantially constant oil pressure at the connecting rod at all times during operation of the engine.
Abstract: An internal combustion engine has an articulated connecting rod linkage which is automatically adjusted by an improved fluid-pressure-responsive control, so that different density fuel-air charges inducted into the engine cylinder will be compressed to substantially the same extent each time the cylinder is fired, regardless of throttle setting, engine speeds, or loads.
Abstract: A jewelry show case or similar merchandise container is equipped with a door lock and alarm system which is effective to either automatically lock the access doors of the show case in fully closed positions, or signal an open condition of the doors when an authorized attendant leaves his usual station behind the show case.
Abstract: A two-part connector for detachably, electrically connecting a high tension lead wire to the terminal post of a spark plug includes threadedly connectable male and female members having cooperative surfaces for clamping the lead wire therebetween, a threaded socket for threaded engagement with the central terminal of the spark plug, and a deformable, annular skirt on the female member engageable with a multi-angular base on the male member to lock the connector against accidental separation.
Abstract: A paint brush assembly includes a pair of complete, handle-equipped brushes frictionally, but removably held in side-by-side relationship by a tubular holder to provide a unitary, relatively wider bristle brush assembly. The wider brush assembly may be easily separated or disassembled to provide two independently operable paint brushes of relatively narrow widths.
