Abstract: A dirt pick-up device for a floor cleaner is provided, including a carrying part fixable to the floor cleaner and a holding part releasably connectable to the carrying part with a suction strip held on the holding part, the carrying part and the holding part locked to each other by a locking device, the dirt pick-up device including an actuating element which is transferable from an unactuated position to an actuated position for transferring the locking device to an unlocked position in which the holding part is releasable from the carrying part. The dirt pick-up device can include or form a grip element held on at least one of the holding part and the suction strip, and in the unactuated position, the actuating element can be at a greater distance from the grip element than in the actuated position. A floor cleaner with a dirt pick-up device is also provided.

Abstract: A heat exchanger for heating a liquid is provided, in particular, for high-pressure cleaners, including an inner and an outer heating coil which each have a plurality of turns, and including spacers which are arranged between the inner heating coil and the outer heating coil and are distributed over the circumference of the inner heating coil. To develop the heat exchanger in such a way that it can be manufactured more cost-effectively and is highly efficient, at least one turn of the outer heating coil includes between two spacers immediately adjacent to each other a first turn section in which the radial spacing from the inner heating coil is smaller or larger than in the region of the spacers. Two methods for manufacturing such a heat exchanger are also provided.

Abstract: A self-propelled, self-steering floor cleaning appliance is provided with at least one cleaning element for cleaning a floor surface, including a drive device having an undercarriage, a sensing part for sensing obstacles, at least one displaceable holding part for holding the sensing part on the floor cleaning appliance and at least one detection element for detecting a displacement of the at least one holding part and for providing a signal relating thereto. The floor cleaning appliance includes at least one accommodating part on which the at least one holding part is held so as to be displaceable in a first and a second direction of displacement, which is aligned at an angle to the first direction of displacement, and the at least one detection element is actuatable by the at least one holding part upon displacement of the holding part in the first and in the second directions of displacement.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cleaning brush for a floor cleaner, in particular, a self-propelled and self-steering floor cleaner, including at least one brush unit having a brush body defining a brush axis and being provided with cleaning bristles and having a first end and a second end, the at least one brush unit including at the first end or in the region of the first end a torque receiver device for coupling with a drive device of the floor cleaner. To provide such a cleaning brush which can be reliably mounted on a floor cleaner in a constructionally simple way, the at least one brush unit includes a bearing device for mounting on the floor cleaner, which is arranged between the first end and the second end. The invention also relates to a floor cleaner with a cleaning brush, in particular, a self-propelled and self-steering floor cleaner.

Abstract: A power supply arrangement for a suction device is provided, which is optionally operable using direct current or alternating current, including a first connection connectible to a direct current source, a second connection connectible to an alternating current source, a third connection connectible to a consuming unit of the suction device, an electrically isolated converter connected on the input side to the first connection, and a switchover device connected to an output of the converter, the second connection and to the consuming unit, wherein the switchover device allows selection of whether the consuming unit is actively connected to the converter or the second connection for power supply, and wherein the switchover device has one or more components each with an electrical safety clearance that is at least 4 mm in respect of the creepage distance and the total of the creepage distances of the components is at least 8 mm.

Abstract: A floor cleaning apparatus is provided, including a dirt collection device for picking up dirty liquid from a floor surface to be cleaned as well as a dirty liquid tank, into which the dirty liquid can be transferred. In order to provide a floor cleaning apparatus of this type, which can be handled in a more user-friendly manner, it is proposed that the floor cleaning apparatus has a tank rinsing mechanism with at least one rinsing line, which includes at least one inlet opening for rinsing liquid, which can be provided for the tank rinsing mechanism, as well as at least one outlet opening for delivering rinsing liquid into an interior of the dirty liquid tank.
