    Abstract: A method for rolling a Z-section sheet pile comprises rolling a curved preform of a web (16) in successive roll gaps defined by at least one roll pair comprising a grooved upper roll (26) and a grooved lower roll (28), wherein: a first corner (18) and an adjoining first part of the curved preform of the web (16) are formed in a first groove (42) of an upper roll (26); and a second corner (20) and an adjoining second part of the curved preform of the web (16) are formed in a first groove (46) of a lower roll (28). In the last roll gaps forming the curved preform of the web (16), the diameter of the lower roll (28) decreases in a discontinuous manner in the interval between the first groove (42) in the upper roll (26) and the first groove (46) in the lower roll (26), and the diameter of the upper roll (26) increases in this interval in a complementary manner.

    Abstract: A molding device for vacuum casting a metal ingot is provided. The mold includes a mold cavity defined by an ingot mold, a core and a bottom. The mold is arranged inside a vacuum-cast enclosure and includes a source of introducing molten metal at the upper portion thereof. A distribution device for receiving and distributing molten metal, which is suitable for receiving the molten steel introduced into the vacuum-cast enclosure and for redistributing the molten metal in the mold cavity, is arranged at the upper portion of the mold cavity. The molten metal is introduced into the enclosure so as to form a first jet of molten steel under a vacuum, in order to pour the molten metal over the distribution device and to form at least one second jet of molten steel under a vacuum, which originates with the distribution device and terminates in the mold cavity so as to fill the mold cavity with molten metal.

    Abstract: Continuous casting equipment for a flow of liquid metal from a tundish into a mold is provided. The equipment includes a vertical duct disposed upstream of the mold with respect to the direction of travel of the liquid metal. A dome is disposed inside the refractory ring and includes a sloped upper part, the upper part is defined so as to deflect the liquid metal coming from the tundish towards the inner walls of the vertical duct. The remainder of the composition consists of iron and inevitable impurities resulting from processing. The microstructure includes, in area percentage, 5 to 20% polygonal ferrite, 10 to 15% residual austenite, 5 to 15% martensite and a balance of bainite. The bainite is in the form of laths and includes carbides between the laths. A number N of inter-lath carbides larger than 0.1 micrometers per unit of surface area is less than or equal to 50000/mm2. A fabrication method and a motor vehicle are also provided.

At least one portion of the gases resulting from the blast furnace undergo a CO2 purification step to create a CO-rich gas which is reinjected at a first top injection point at a temperature between 700° C. and 1000° C. through a top injection line, and at a second bottom injection point at a temperature between 1000° C. and 1300° C. through a bottom injection line. The gases from the bottom and top injection lines are heated at a temperature between 1000° C. and 1300° C. A portion of the CO-rich gas exiting the purification step is directly introduced into the top injection line via a cold gas injection line to obtain a temperature between 700° C. and 1000° C. at the first top injection point. The gas that flows through the bottom and top injection points controlled upstream of the system of the heaters. A device is also provided.
