  • Patent number: 5091125
Abstract: A method of producing an anti-slip shoe sole makes use of a shoe sole forming die having a plurality of independent, projection-forming cavities in the bottom thereof. The cavities open to a reverse side of the die through respective escape holes connected to the cavities. A foamable, unvulcanized green rubber containing hard fibers dispersed therein is set in the shoe sole forming die. Heat and pressure are applied to the unvulcanized green rubber to cause the unvulcanized green rubber to fill the cavities and further to flow into the escape holes, thereby forming a shoe sole blank having projections integral therewith. Buffing is effected on the bottom portions of the projections, thereby allowing ends of the hard fibers to appear in the ground-contact surfaces of the projections.

  • Patent number: 4973053
Abstract: An action toy game device includes a base, a timer on the base, a plurality of disc-like game elements, a game element retaining mechanism, a game element engaging mechanism and a game element ejecting mechanism. For use of the game device the timer is actuated for a set period of time and the game elements are removably retained and rotated in a substantially vertical stack by the game element retaining mechanism. The engaging mechanism is then manipulated by a game player for individually engaging the game elements so that they are removed from the stack. In the event that all of the game elements have not been removed from the stack upon the expiration of the set period of time, the remaining game elements and the retaining mechanism are ejected by the ejecting mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4817881
Abstract: A microcassette tape comprising a tape housing including top and bottom case halves, a reel, a tape mounted on said reel, a rotating shaft for the tape reel, a pinch roller provided at the front of the tape housing, and a capstan between which the tape passes during endless revolutions of the tape. A guide is provided for preventing the tape from being misdirected and caught around the pinch roller and a wall is provided as a part of the tape housing for preventing the tape from slackening as it passes between the pinch roller and the capstan on a tangential path to the guide member which prevents the tape from being caught by the pinch roller. A further guide element is provided which prevents the tape from falling off the tape reel. A hole is provided in one of the halves of the tape housing which permits insertion of a shaft member for taking up any tape slack which develops in the passage of the tape from the tape reel to the pinch roller.
