  • Patent number: 8864211
Abstract: A wind deflector system for a motor vehicle having an end segment for limiting extension of the wind deflector system at the top in the vertical direction, a flexible planar structure fastened to ends of the end segment, and a winding shaft for holding the wound-on planar structure. At least one swivel arm is provided, by means of which the wind deflector system can be transferred from a stowed position to a functioning position with a raised end segment, and a retainer is provided on the planar structure which is arranged, at least when in the functioning position, such that, together with the swivel arm, it restricts mobility of the planar structure relative to the swivel arm in the transverse direction of the vehicle. The system is effective for avoiding the formation of creases in the wound-up planar structure of the wind deflector system.

  • Patent number: 8146226
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for attaching guide means (106) to a flexible sheet (100), preferably as part of a shading system for a vehicle, and to a device provided therefor. Holding regions (102a, 102b), spaced apart from one another in a Y-direction, of a flexible sheet (100) extending in an X-direction and a Y-direction are spaced apart from one another by being acted upon with a predetermined pretensioning force (Fv) acting in the Y-direction, with the result that a pretension state is achieved. Subsequently, in a further processing state which corresponds to the pretension state or to a pretension state relieved by the amount of a predetermined relief distance (S3) in the Y-direction with respect to the pretension state, guide means (106) extending parallel to one another in the X-direction and spaced apart from one another in the Y-direction are fastened to the sheet (100).

  • Patent number: 7934533
Abstract: A window shade for motor vehicles having a shade of approximately trapezoidal shape. An extension profile or pull rod of the shade, the ends of which are guided in guide rails, is arranged on the shortest transverse edge of the shade. In order to compensate for a varying distance between the guide rails, the extension profile is divided into a center section, on which the shade is fixed, and two end sections that move in the guide rails. Centering devices are provided in order to prevent transverse creases in the shade when it is completely extended. The centering devices, which are effective when the shade is completely extended, act upon the center section.
