Abstract: A freefall-type windlass includes appropriate gearing for moving the windlass spool in a retrieve direction to wrap anchor cable thereabout or to permit the anchor to drop by gravity thereby unwrapping the anchor cable from the spool. A governor gear is incorporated into the windlass to restrict the rate at which the spool can rotate when the anchor is being paid out thereby avoiding entanglement of the anchor cable and malfunctioning of the windlass.
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a valve body having a cylindrical bore centered on an axis. A cylindrical core extends axially within the bore and is fixed relative to the valve body. A sleeve within the bore extends circumferentially about the core and is rotatable about the axis relative to the core. A passage extends radially through the sleeve and provides a radial flow path from the core through the passage to the valve body. Alignment of the passage is circumferentially selectable by rotation of the passage with the sleeve about the axis.
Abstract: A portable welder includes a welder housing. The housing has front and rear vertical end surfaces and left and right side surfaces. The housing further has a horizontal top surface extending forward from the rear surface. An inclined surface faces upward and forward and extends from a front end of the top surface to a top end of the front surface. A front post, equidistant from the side surfaces, extends upward from the inclined surface. A rear post, equidistant from the side surfaces, extends upward from the top surface. A handle, spaced above the top surface, extends from the front post to the rear post. The welder is configured for a user to carry the welder by lifting the handle such that the housing is suspended from the handle by the posts.
Abstract: A paint sprayer for spraying a fluid comprises a housing that houses a motor, a pump, and a fluid passage. A handle is coupled to the housing and a paint cup is coupled to the handle for storage of a fluid. The handle is positioned between the housing and the paint cup. The paint sprayer has a center of gravity region. A longitudinal axis of the handle and a longitudinal axis of the paint cup are aligned with the center of gravity region of the paint sprayer. A gripping zone of the paint sprayer is also aligned with the center of gravity region.

Abstract: A low-amp winch for use on boat trailers is provided with a higher gear reduction than conventional winches and with a winch cable made of a softer material and shorter length than conventional boat winches to reduce the current draw from the motor. The winch is capable of operating off a seven-pin RV socket which provides 12 volts of DC power at no greater than 30 amps.
Abstract: An apparatus includes a wall defining an opening. A first bracket is connected to the wall and defines a first channel. A second bracket is located across the wall opening from the first bracket and defines a second channel. A hinge connects the second bracket to the wall such that the second bracket can pivot from a first position in which the second channel is open toward the wall opening to a second position in which the second channel is open toward the first channel. The brackets are configured to retain the lens in an installed position in which the lens extends across the wall opening, the first bracket captures a first end of the lens, the second bracket is in its second position, and the second channel captures a second end of the lens.
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a gauge for measuring a parameter. The gauge has a sensing section configured to react to exposure to the parameter in a manner indicative of the parameter. The gauge further has a port through which the sensing section is exposed to the parameter. A cap is configured to be removably attached to the gauge such that the cap covers the port to protect the port from damage. The cap has a hole configured to allow coupling of the cap to another device.
