Abstract: Zeolites of type A wherein all the cationic sites of which occupied by sodium, calcium and/or magnesium, potassium and hydronium cations, which exhibit the advantage of having a water adsorption capacity≧23%, which do not adsorb and therefore cannot desorb nitrogen, and which, incorporated in polyurethane (PU) resins, make it possible to increase the potlife of the PU formulations in which they are incorporated. Such zeolites are prepared by a process comprising bringing into contact an aqueous suspension of zeolite 3A, 4A or 5A, an aqueous solution of calcium or potassium salt(s) or solutions of calcium and potassium salt(s), and an acid solution, simultaneously or otherwise and in any order; and in then filtering off and washing the solid obtained, and then drying and activating the zeolite.
Abstract: A description is given of agglomerates of faujasite X with an Si/Al ratio of 1, the inert binder of which, on the one hand, has been converted to active zeolite by conversion to zeolite in an alkaline liquor, and which have been subjected, on the other hand, to an exhaustive lithium exchange. These adsorbents develop a nitrogen adsorption capacity (1 bar/25° C.) of at least 26 cm3/g, which makes them excellent adsorbents for the non-cryogenic separation of gases from air and for the purification of hydrogen.
Abstract: Process for preparing zeolites of X type having an Si/Al atomic ratio of ≦1.5 and having exchangeable cations including lithium, trivalent and/or divalent ions, and optionally sodium, potassium, ammonium and/or hydronium ions, involves distributing starting zeolite in a series of receptacles, percolating a solution of at least one lithium compound through the series, drawing a lithium-containing bleed from first receptacle of the carrousel, and drawing off a final effluent stream from a final receptacle in the series. The effluent stream contains compounds of exchangeable cations from the starting zeolite and traces of the lithium compound(s). After a desired degree of lithium exchange has occurred in the first receptacle, the first receptacle is removed and a fresh solution of at least one lithium compound is introduced into the next receptable in the series and percolated through the series. This step can be performed for each receptacle in the series.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel family of zeolite adsorbents comprising a mixture of zeolite X and zeolite LSX, these adsorbents being predominantly exchanged with sodium or with strontium. These adsorbents are particularly suited to the decarbonatation of gas flows contaminated by CO2.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for purifying a syngas of the CO/H2 or N2/H2 type, which consists in removing CO2 and possibly other gaseous impurities (water, etc.) before the gas undergoes a cryogenic process. These impurities are adsorbed by the gas stream to be purified passing over an NaLSX-type zeolite and then desorbed during a regeneration step which may be performed by raising the temperature (TSA) and/or reducing the pressure (PSA or VSA).
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel family of inorganic solids with a narrow and calibrated mesopore distribution which are agglomerated with a binder; these solids can advantageously be used as adsorbents for the industrial separation of gas-phase compounds having different boiling points.
Abstract: Predominantly hydrogen gaseous flowstreams containing contaminating amounts of at least carbon monoxide and/or nitrogen impurities are purified by PSA adsorption of such impurities therefrom, via transport over a faujasite zeolite adsorbent, the Si/Al ratio of which ranges from 1 to 3, preferably from 1 to 1.5, and at least 85% of the aluminum tetrahedra comprising the crystal lattices being combined with lithium and calcium cations, the lithium/lithium+calcium ratio therein being at least 70%.

Abstract: Aqueous shampoo compositions whose washing base consists of an anionic surfactant and an amphoteric surfactant, in which some of the amphoteric agent consists of undecylenamidopropylbetaine, are described. This amphoteric principle gives these compositions effective antifungal properties against the action of Pityrosporum ovalae and constitutes a treatment for reducing the formation of dandruff.

Abstract: Agglomerates based on active charcoal and on binder exhibit a good resistance to disintegration in a liquid medium as well as an excellent resistance to crushing and an excellent thermostability up to 350° C. They are prepared by mixing active charcoal powder with a pore-protecting agent in gel form and then mixing with a binder, followed by the agglomeration, shaping and curing of the agglomerates obtained. They can be used as adsorption agents for the treatment, for the seperation or the purification of gases, and for the decoloration, purification and deodorization of liquids.
Abstract: A process for the production of faujasite X agglomerates containing at least 95% of faujasite LSX, that is to say with an Si/Al ratio equal to 1, constituting the active adsorbent. The agglomerate is formed from zeolite LSX and from a binder which can be converted to zeolite, the conversion of which to active zeolite is obtained by conversion to zeolite in a sodium hydroxide/potassium hydroxide or sodium hydroxide liquor.
