Abstract: Disclosed is a method for simulating the rendering of a make-up product on the face of a subject, using a database of reference images including, for each reference individual, images of the face with and without the makeup product. The method includes: acquiring an image of the subject face without makeup; processing the image to extract, for each spatial area of each spatial frequency range of the image, first color feature values of the spatial area; determining, among the database of reference images, reference individuals having, when wearing no makeup, color feature values similar to the first color feature values of the subject; determining, from the first color feature values of the subject, and from color feature values of the reference individuals with and without the makeup product, second color feature values; and generating a modified image of the subject face based on the second color feature values.

Abstract: A method for simulating a rendering of a makeup product on a body area including the steps of: acquiring an image of the body area without makeup of a subject, determining first color parameters of the pixels of the image corresponding to the body area without makeup, identifying the pixels of the body area without makeup exhibiting highest brightness or red component value, and determining second color parameters of the pixels of the image corresponding to the body area, wherein the second color parameters render a making up of the body area by the makeup product.

Abstract: An applicator for mascara having an oblong general shape extending along a main axis, the applicator including at least three branches distributed around the main axis so as to define a cavity between them inside the applicator. The branches extend between a base to which they are connected and a free end of the applicator, which is remote from the base, and are shaped such that the cavity has a form of a surface of revolution around the main axis, said cavity being open by spaces formed between said branches. The branches extend in helical form around the main axis. The invention so developed makes it possible to obtain an applicator for mascara providing high autonomy by virtue of an internal cavity, the general three-dimensional configuration of which provides a good level of flexibility and enables easy application to the eyelashes.

Abstract: A solid cosmetic composition including 12 to 50% by weight of a non-volatile liquid fatty phase and 40 to 85% by weight of a pulverulent phase including spherical fillers that are surface-treated with a metallic soap. Also, a process for preparing such a solid cosmetic composition and a method for making up the skin or lips using such a solid cosmetic composition.

Abstract: A process for the microfluidic extraction of molecules of interest from a vegetable oil, which utilizes a microfluidic chip with a double-Y-channel circuit, two inlets, two outlets, and a main channel, a first vessel including vegetable oil and a second vessel including ethanol for extraction, a pressure controller for pressurizing the vegetable oil and the ethanol, a first collector for the triglycerides-enriched vegetable oil and a second collector for molecules of interest-enriched ethanol. The extraction process includes: controlling the pressures to subject each of the vegetable oil and the ethanol to a pressure, so the interface between the two fluids is positioned at the junction point of inlets, bringing the vegetable oil and ethanol into contact with each other in the main channel for a time to enable extraction of the molecules of interest, collecting the molecules of interest-enriched ethanol, optionally, evaporating the ethanol, collecting the triglycerides-enriched vegetable oil.

Abstract: A bottle including a reservoir for a liquid or semi-fluid product and a dispensing head projecting from the reservoir along a main axis. The dispensing head includes a roll-on applicator including a ball holder in which a ball is caged and from which a cap of the ball emerges. The bottle includes a rotary stopper suitable for covering the roll-on applicator in a closed position of the bottle, and for being released from the roll-on applicator for distributing product in an open position of the bottle. The ball holder is mounted translatably along the main axis, the roll-on applicator including an elastic component inserted between an applicator body and the ball holder. The ball moves in translation jointly with the ball holder to take a retracted position when the roll-on applicator is covered by the rotary stopper and a deployed position when the rotary stopper is released from the roll-on applicator.

Abstract: A Camellia extract obtained by extracting by ultrasound a powder of Camellia japonica flowers, the powder being impregnated with a fatty substance or a mixture of fatty substances, with a hydroalcoholic solvent, and a cosmetic composition including such an extract having in particular a soothing effect for the skin. Also, a non-therapeutic use thereof for soothing the skin.

Abstract: A cosmetic composition including a yeast hydrolysate and to the use thereof in cosmetics, for promoting moisturization of the skin and/or protecting human skin against drying out and/or improving the barrier function and/or for an anti-ageing effect. The yeast hydrolysate is obtained by a process that includes solubilization of the yeast in water, enzymatic hydrolysis, separation of the soluble and insoluble phase and recovery of the soluble phase, enzymatic inactivation, and optionally concentration and sterilizing filtration.

Abstract: An oil extract from Gardenia jasminoides flowers obtained by extraction from powder of Gardenia jasminoides flowers with supercritical CO2, and the process of obtaining such an extract. Also, cosmetic composition including such an oil extract from Gardenia jasminoides flowers having in particular an antiaging effect for the skin, and method for preventing and/or treating changes to the skin due to aging or photoaging using such an extract.

Also, the use of such a composition in order to provide keratin fibres, in particular eyelashes, with a lengthening and curling effect.

Also, the use of such a complexion base to improve holding over time of the make-up, preferably to improve the resistance to sweat and to sebum.

Abstract: A method for producing a nonaqueous composition for external use on the skin including a strongly hydrophilic amphiphilic solid active ingredient-surfactant complex dissolved or dispersed in an oil phase, the method including the steps of: dissolving a surfactant in an oil phase to obtain a surfactant solution; mixing the obtained surfactant solution with a strongly hydrophilic amphiphilic solid active ingredient to obtain a suspension; and allowing the obtained suspension to stand still to obtain a transparent composition. Unlike conventional methods for preparing S/O formulations, the strongly hydrophilic amphiphilic solid active ingredient can be solubilized in an oil phase without the process of emulsification and freeze drying.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a cosmetic product applicator including a gripping part and an applicator part having bristles or teeth. The method includes additive manufacturing (S1) by sintering a powder of a plastics material followed by depowdering (S2) and post-treatment for the removal of particles that have become detached from the cosmetic product applicator or are partially sintered, the post-treatment including blasting (S4) and ionizing blowing (S5). This method allows the removal of particles likely to be irritating, for example with a size greater than 500 micrometers, while being suitable for industrial production. The invention also relates to an associated production method.
