  • Patent number: 6460816
Abstract: An improved brake and tilt mechanism for a keyboard support platform includes a telescoping shaft connect between the keyboard platform and a housing supported on linkage arms that support the platform to a desk or support surface. The shaft is engaged by an encircling coil spring retained in the housing to lock the mechanism. Flexing the spring releases the locating mechanism and permits adjustment of the tilt or attitude of the keyboard platform relative to the linkage arms.

  • Patent number: 6270047
Abstract: There is disclosed an adjustable tilt mechanism for a keyboard support platform. The keyboard support platform is of the type that includes a linkage for connecting the platform to a work surface. The linkage further includes connecting arms which pivotally connect the keyboard support platform to the work surface. The adjustable tilt mechanism of the present invention includes a tilt adjustment member that is movable transversely relative to the pivot axis of the platform. Engaging the tilt adjustment member is an angled shaft which is fixed to the platform between the sides of the platform. The tilt adjustment member is also pivotal about a second fixed shaft that is parallel to the pivot axis of the platform. A releasable latching member is mounted on the connecting arms for engaging and releasing the tilt adjustment member.

  • Patent number: 6101852
Abstract: An improved padlock assembly is provided which includes a lock body, a shackle with a pair of opposed legs fitting into the lock body, and the lock body including an interior chamber in which are positioned a pair of reciprocal lock plates. A first lock plate operates in response to the manipulation of the lock cylinder, while the second lock plate operates in response to a lock pin to keep it in a locked and/or unlocked position. The entire shackle may be removed by first removing the first shackle leg from locking engagement with the first lock plate, moving the first lock plate back to its locked position, afterwhich the lock pin may then be removed to move the second lock plate to its unlocked position in order to free the second leg of the shackle and thereby remove the entire shackle.
