Abstract: A syringe device for mixing two compounds is provided. The syringe device includes a vial having an opening and a centrally perforable stopper. The syringe device also includes a guide tube for guiding the injection end of the syringe between a withdrawn or storage position and an inserted position. The guide tube includes a second end for receiving the injection end of the syringe, which also includes a seal between the body of the syringe and the guide tube.

Abstract: The invention relates to an installation for remote monitoring of a plurality of controllable equipment, in particular hospital equipment. Each of the equipment includes control means activated in response to a sequence of information. The installation also includes a portable control device. The portable control device includes a means for memorizing at least a portion of the control information relating to each equipment in association with information identifying the equipment, with the information sequence including information concerning the operating duration of the equipment. The portable control device further includes means for generating time information, and means for comparing the operating duration with elapsed time information and for transmitting an alarm signal as a function of the result of the comparison.

Abstract: The invention relates to a peristaltic pump system. The pump system comprises both an insert (10) and a motor assembly (30). The insert essentially comprises a wall (16) and a duct (22) of deformable material. The motor assembly comprises a drive shaft (38), a plate (50) on which rotary means (54, 64) are mounted to guide wheels (48) suitable for co-operating with the duct (22). When the shaft (38) is inserted, the wheels (48) are spread outwards and compress the duct (22) between themselves and the wall (16) of the insert.

Abstract: A peristaltic pump cassette (1) is designed to cooperate in use with a motor unit (2) through a drive spindle (30) comprising a casing (40) with a tube bearing surface (12), a deformable tube (11), rotating rollers (14) driven by friction by the drive spindle (30). The deformable tube (11) is applied onto the support surface (12) and is deformed by rotating rollers (14), in order to produce driving of a liquid contained therein.Before first use, the radial position of rollers (14) is such that the tube (11) is not closed. During first use, they are moved radially by inserting the drive spindle (30), thus closing the tube (11). After use, rollers (14) remain in the radial position that keeps the tube (11) closed.
