Abstract: The invention includes a drop lens that is generally rectangular-shaped and fits over a housing of a light fixture. The drop lens may include two side portions that attaches to and/or engages with the side panels of the housing. The drop lens includes an inner lens that extends between each of the side portions of the drop lens. The inner lens may be preferably constructed of a flexible plastic material so that it can be flexed and bent to engage the side portions of the drop lens. The inner lens disperses the light from the light source, thereby creating a uniform and consistent luminance on the bottom, sides, and ends of the drop lens. Additionally, the invention may include an upper lens that extends between and is slidably engaged with each of the side panels of the housing. The upper lens slides within the housing to hide the light source through a gap or seam between a first drop lens section and the second drop lens section.

Abstract: A luminaire has a LED module, a block structure with a cavity, a plurality of fins extending from the block structure, and a slot extending through a sidewall of the block into the cavity. The LED module is slidably received on a mounting surface of the slot and configured to project light through an aperture of the cavity. The mounting surface has an area equal to or larger than that of the aperture.

Abstract: An aperture trim assembly for a recessed lighting fixture with an aperture trim that connects to a rotatable ring where the rotatable ring has a pair of tension springs attached. The tension springs connect the aperture trim assembly to a recessed lighting fixture, where the light may be rotated while the aperture trim remains fixed. The rotatable ring can rotate relative to the aperture trim allowing the aperture trim to remain fixed. A retention plate may further secure both a lens and the rotatable ring to the aperture trim.

Abstract: A luminaire having a diffuser structure configured to adjust a shadow cast from one or more LED light sources such that the shadow cast has a gradated transition between an area of illumination and an area of shadow. Accordingly, diffuser teeth may be configured to cast a plurality of shadows from a plurality of LED light sources such that a complex overlap pattern of shadows from the plurality of LED light sources forms a shadow gradient between an area of illumination and an area in shade.

Abstract: A concealed connection system for a luminaire that includes an inner joining member having a top surface, a bottom surface, a front surface, a rear surface, a first side surface having a first guide surface, and a second side surface having a second guide surface. An outer joining member having a top surface, a bottom surface, a base surface, a front surface, a rear surface, a first side surface, a second side surface, a first interior side surface opposite the first side surface having a first guide surface, and a second interior side surface opposite the second side surface having a second guide surface. The inner joining member may be slidably engaged along the guide surfaces onto the outer joining member, and the inner joining member may be secured to the outer joining member using a securing member.

Abstract: Aspects of this invention relate to a system that provides an illuminated feature for an LED luminaire that can be used with opposite linear runs of LEDs to light the edges or sides of a luminaire without requiring additional LEDs.

Abstract: A luminaire configured for perimeter lighting, and having improved features for adjusting one or more lighting characteristics of said luminaire. In one example, the luminaire comprises a light bar structure that may be rotated relative to a housing structure of the luminaire. Additionally, the luminaire may have a light scoop structure for redirecting a portion of light emitted from the light bar structure. Further, an angle of the light scoop structure may be adjusted relative to the housing structure of the luminaire, and independently of the light bar structure.

Abstract: A connection system for a luminaire that includes a cover having a base wall, a first side wall, a second side wall, and a plurality of guides; and a connector having a top surface, a bottom surface, a first side wall, a second side wall, a plurality of guides, where the plurality of guides of the cover engage the plurality of guides of the connector. The cover may be slidably engaged onto the connector and the cover may be secured to the connector using a securing member.
