Abstract: A casting handle for fishing rods including a lowermost end; a reel seat portion; an elongated protrusion comprising an index finger recess comprising an index finger front wall and a middle finger recess comprising a middle finger back wall; and an index finger collar portion that is bulgedly outwardly extended from side surfaces of the collar portion to above the reel seat portion so as to define a surface having ridges on the side surfaces, said surface being tangential to a plane defined by the front wall of the index finger recess.
Abstract: A reel seat body is provided at one end with an external thread and at the other end with a fixed hood that is to fix a reel leg and is open toward the external thread. An internally threaded tubular body threadedly fitted onto the external thread is provided with a slidable hood that is open toward the fixed hood. The body is provided between the external thread and the fixed hood with a step that abuts on an end of the internally threaded tubular body that defines the end of the slidable hood. Within the fixed hood, there are located a reel leg-engaging member that is slidably displaceable toward or away from the slidable hood and an elastic material for backing up the member.
Abstract: A line guide device for fishing rods includes an annular holder for holding a line guide ring, which is defined by a metallic annulus and provided with a peripheral groove and an outer ring defined by a metallic annulus. The annular holder receives in the rectangular groove an inner surface portion of the outer ring, and is tightly joined at the plastically deformable region to the inner surface portion of the outer ring. Also, a simplified method for making such a line guide device is provided.
Abstract: Sheathable scissors including a pair of scissors members pivoted at their center and having a blade end and a handle end. There is a step between the handle and the blade, down to the blade, and an engaging lug is formed along the step. The sheath for receiving the blades includes a recessed opening and has a thickness, at the opening, equal to the height of the steps so that, when the blades are inserted into the sheath, the surface of the sheath is smoothly contiguous to the surfaces of the handles.
Abstract: A reel mounting device on fishing rods comprises a first sleeve member having a first bore for passing the fishing rods, an annular recess for receiving a foot portion of the reel, and a first connecting portion, and a second sleeve member having a second bore for passing the fishing rods and a second connecting portion. The axes of the first and second bores are disposed eccentrically relative to the axes of the first and second connecting portions, respectively. The second connecting portion is adapted to rotatably and coaxially engage the first connecting portion.
Abstract: A trigger structure for use in a fishing rod comprises: a mounting portion mounted on a grip portion of the fishing rod; and a trigger portion which perpendicularly projects from the above mounting portion so as to be bendable when such trigger portion is subjected to an outer forcible force. The trigger portion of the trigger structure is an injection molding product made of plastic so as to give an excellent touch feeling, whereby there is no fear that such trigger portion does some damages to the user's finger and hand even when such trigger portion hits the user in his finger and hand strongly at time when he performs his rapid hand changing operation in the fishing rod.
Abstract: A tubular reel seat includes a pair of reel-leg fixing sleeves having the contours of a virtually frusto-conical shape, and at least one of said sleeves is slidable over a tubular body. The axes of the contours of said both sleeves are located upwardly of those of the mounting openings for the tubular body on the larger-diameter sides, and are substantially in coincidence therewith on the smaller-diameter sides.
Abstract: A cylindrical reel seat for a fishing rod comprising a cylindrical body having a cavity which receives one end of a reel base; a slidable sleeve adapted to fasten another end of the reel base; a reel base mount formed at the top of the cylindrical body; and a soft member covering the surface of the cylindrical body except the reel base mount, the range of sliding of the slidable sleeve and the hood portion of the cavity. The cylindrical body is provided with flanges adapted to hold the end and edges of the soft member.
Abstract: A cylindrical type reel seat for fishing rods including a finger grip on the lower surface of a body portion thereof, wherein:a finger recess is formed adjacent to said finger grip, and said reel seat body portion includes a rod-passing bore of a reduced or small diameter only at the portion adjacent to said finger recess, said smaller diameter portion being designed to be fitted over said fishing rods.
Abstract: The electric conductor comprises at least three kinds of element wires which are electrically connected with each other at least at their both ends, and the electric conductor performs a superior signal transmission characteristics for audio signal and so on.
