  • Patent number: 6356030
Abstract: A flourescent luminous type display device capable of providing display at increased luminance while being simplified in structure. An insulating substrate constituting a vacuum airtight envelope is laminatedly formed on an inner surface thereof with cathode electrodes and emitters in order. Another insulating substrate is laminatedly formed on an inner surface thereof with an anode electrode and phosphor layers. The phosphor layers contain a secondary electron emission material. When a switch is closed, electron emitted from the emitters are permitted to be impinged on the phosphor layers, leading to luminescence thereof. The anode electrode merely has a pulse-like drive signal applied thereto through a capacitor, however, secondary electrons emitted from the phosphor layers permit the luminescence to be maintained even after stop of the drive signal.

  • Patent number: 6346023
Abstract: A method is herein disclosed for preparing a film of a carbon nano-tube to obtain a low cost field emission source using a carbon nano-tube. A single-wall carbon nano-tube is placed together with acetone in a beaker, to which ultrasonic wave is applied to disperse the single-wall carbon nano-tube in acetone. Thereafter, acetone is evaporated spontaneously to deposit the single-wall carbon nano-tube on a copper plate placed in the beaker. The copper plate on the surface of which the single-wall carbon nano-tube is deposited is used for a cathode of an electronic tube.

  • Patent number: 6345974
Abstract: An ejector pin with a pressure sensor is provided, of which the sensor output can be utilized without any correction even in different diameter thereof, so that no design changes are required according to loads to the ejector pin. The ejector pin has a bar portion for extruding a molded component and a sleeve portion slidably housing the bar portion. The end of the bar portion faces the cavity from the opening at the end of the guide portion. A housing room is defined by the step portion at the lower end of the sleeve portion. A strain producing portion with an U-shaped cross section fixed on the base end of the bar portion is disposed inside the housing room. A strain sensor is attached on the lower surface of the beam of the strain producing portion. Only the area of the end of the bar portion is related to the pressure detection. When the pressure of a resin is applied on the end of the bar portion, the downward load on the bar portion bends the beam down.

  • Patent number: 6342940
Abstract: An optical printer including a fluorescent light-emitting tube equipped with an anode in a form of dot and a rotatable rotating filter part equipped with filters R, G, B. A film is moved relative to the optical printer set at a given position. A controlling device rotates the rotating filter part, and, in synchronization with that, the fluorescent light-emitting tube is made to emit light by the image signal of every color of red, green and blue. The image can be formed by moving the film one time relative to irradiation with the light in a state of a dot transmitted selectively through each filter of red, green and blue. Since the head is fixed and the film is moved, room for the movement of the head which has been conventionally required is not required. Spatial room for the slide of the filter is not required differently from the slide-switching type-filter of the conventional art.

  • Publication number: 20020005693
Abstract: A fluorescent display device having a pseudo half mirror formed on a rear surface a face plate thereof and exhibiting a function like a neutral density filter. The face plate is formed on a whole rear surface thereof with an aluminum film including opening portions, non-opening portions and a solid portion. The opening and non-opening portions cooperate with each other to constitute a pseudo half mirror. The pseudo half mirror has light transmittance determined depending on a ratio in area between the opening portions and the non-opening portions. Thus, the light transmittance may be set as desired by varying the area ratio.

  • Patent number: 6329759
Abstract: A field emission image display is provided that can obtain a suitable white balance even when the luminous brightness of fluorescent substances is different. When an image is displayed on a field emission display (FED) panel based on input image data, correction data for correcting image data for each color is previously stored into the look-up table 33 to set properly the white balance in each gray scale of a display image to be displayed on the FED panel. The white balance of a display image to be displayed on the FED panel is nearly maintained to a constant value by correcting image data to be input using the correction data stored in the look-up table 33.

  • Patent number: 6307508
Abstract: A flat antenna with a simplified feeder point is provided. The flat antenna consists of a round patch antenna section, a dielectric material, a grounded conductive plate. The patch antenna section is arranged so as to confront the grounded conductive plate via the dielectric material. The center conductor of a coaxial cable is inserted into the opening formed in the grounded conductive plate and further penetrates the dielectric material of a thickness of t. The center conductor is electrically connected with the feeder point P of the patch antenna section. The outer conductor of the coaxial cable is connected to the grounded conductive plate. The center conductor has the inductive impedance L added by the penetration length of the dielectric material. Improved matching characteristics can be provided by setting the resonance frequency of the patch antenna section to a higher frequency than receive frequencies and by adding a capacitive impedance to the impedance of the feeder point.

  • Publication number: 20010023936
Abstract: The present invention provides a phosphor of formula A2SiO5:B (A is Y or Gd, and B is Ce or Tb) which is characterized by a surface elemental composition represented by (A+B)/Si ranging from 1.5 to 2.5, wherein A is Y or Gd, and B is Ce or Tb; and method for preparing said phosphor. One embodiment of the method is as follows: a SiO2 powder is mixed with co-precipitate (Y, Ce)2O3 (Ce/Y=0.01), in an amount ranging from 10 to 110 mol % based on the amount of (Y, Ce)2O3, and the mixture is charged into the inner crucible of a double-walled aluminum crucible. After graphite is charged between the inner and outer crucible, the mixture is calcined at 1450° C. for 2 hours to obtain an Y2SiO5:Ce phosphor. The luminous efficiency of a field emission display (FED) prepared employing the Y2SiO5:Ce phosphor was measured at an anode voltage of 600V, an electric power input of 30 Wp-p and a duty rate of 1/240.

  • Publication number: 20010019575
Abstract: A receiving system or a received radio-wave estimation method is provided that can maintain received field strengths at a nearly uniform level under multipath conditions. The antenna switch 41 can select outputs of four antennas at high speed (where n=4). The high-frequency amplifier 42 amplifies the output of the antenna switch 11 and the demodulator 42 demodulates amplified signals. The matched filter bank 45, surrounded with chain lines, receives a demodulated signal, for example, the I-phase component. In the matched filter bank 45, the phase shifter &phgr; shifts respective signals output from four delay elements (r1, r2, r3, and r4). The adder (Ka, . . . , Kp) synthesizes the phase-shifted signals and then supplies the maximum matched output to the maximum level selector 46.
