  • Patent number: 5751237
Abstract: A trim unit having a simple structure is provided which has an arrangement such that an automatic repeating function is activated when a trim switch is depressed continuously. If a determination is performed in step S40 that count value CNT (1) of a first counter is larger than N3, then the value of CNT (1) is set to N2+CNT (2) so that count value CNT (2) of a second counter is increased. Then, the trimming position is moved by one step in step S80. If the trim switch is continuously depressed, the interval for the count value CNT (1) to be larger than N3 in shortened in accordance with the count value CNT (2). Thus, the repeating speed for the trimming position to be moved is raised so that the trimming position is quickly adjusted.

  • Patent number: 5705097
Abstract: A conductive paste capable of effectively preventing current interruption in through-holes of a fluorescent display device. An anode substrate having Al film wirings formed thereon is laminatedly provided thereon with an insulating layer, which is then formed thereon with an anode conductor and phosphor layers in turn, leading to an anode. The insulating layer is formed with through-holes, in which the conductive paste is filled to make electrical connection between the wirings and the anode conductors. The conductive paste is formed of a mixture of Ag, glass and a vehicle, and Zn and/or Sb added to the mixture, wherein Zn and/or Sb are added to the mixture in an amount of 1 to 40 wt. % based on Ag. Zn and/or Sb serve as a catalyst for promoting alloying between Ag contained therein and Al, resulting in providing electrical connection therebetween with highly increased stability.

  • Patent number: 5628631
Abstract: A radio control transmitter capable of preventing a pupil-side radio control transmitter from outputting a radio wave even when a pupil-side operator erroneously closes a power switch of the pupil-side radio control transmitter. The transmitter includes a radio-frequency circuit for modulating a stick operation signal encoded by an encoder and outputting it in the form of a radio wave and a power control section for discriminating which of an internal power supply and an external power supply feeds a power thereto and holding a result of the discrimination therein. The power control section also functions to control switches for feeding the encoder and radio-frequency circuit with a power depending on the discrimination result. A trainer switch is arranged so as to permit a signal to be selectively applied to the radio-frequency circuit 5 from the encoder or a trainer cable.

Abstract: An airtight envelope for an FED capable of ensuring formation of a gap or internal space therein with high accuracy and preventing leakage thereof and a decrease in display area. An anode substrate having a phosphor-deposited display pattern formed thereon and a cathode substrate having an electron emission source formed thereon are sealed joined to each other using a sealing material, to thereby provide an airtight envelope for an FED. The substrates are provided at a portion thereof joined together with particulate or bar-like elements which are kept unmelted or substantially unsoftened. Also, spacers are arranged at positions in a gap between the anode substrate and the cathode substrate which do not interfere with a display by the FED.

  • Patent number: 5589738
Abstract: A field emission type display device capable of providing display with gradation and permitting the whole display device to be integrated with a display drive circuit section. Memory sections are arranged in correspondence to image cell sections, resulting in static display being accomplished. Also, Light emission of an anode is carried out depending on data held in the memory section, so that a luminous period is increased and adequate luminance is provided at a drive voltage substantially lower than that required for dynamic display. An FEC element is incorporated in each of the memory sections in correspondence to incorporation of an FEC element in each of the image cell sections, so that the image cell sections and memory sections may be concurrently manufactured during manufacturing of the FEC elements, to thereby significantly simplify manufacturing of display device.

  • Patent number: 5572231
Abstract: A drive device for a field emission cathode capable of driving an image display device at a high speed while preventing leakage luminescence. A plurality of gate electrodes and cathode electrodes which are arranged in a matrix-like manner are scanned to drive an image display device. A leading edge of a drive pulse for driving the cathode electrodes in turn is defined to be a precharge period, during which a precharge pulse of a level V.sub.CH which does not permit emission of electrodes from emitter arrays is added. During the precharge, the gate electrodes are subject to blanking by a blanking pulse. This results the cathode electrodes being driven, followed by precharging, so that the cathodes may be driven at an increased speed while preventing leakage luminescence.

  • Patent number: 5558814
Abstract: A phosphor capable of exhibiting luminescence with high efficiency by excitation due to impingement of electrons accelerated under an anode voltage of hundreds volts to about 2 kV thereon and a method for preparing the same are disclosed. Mn is ion-implanted in ZnGa.sub.2 O.sub.4 which is a matrix crystal of the phosphor deposited on a substrate. Three kinds of implantation energy of 150 keV, 90 keV and 30 keV are selected and the ion implantation is effected three times in the order of the level of the implantation energy. A concentration of Mn is rendered substantially constant within a depth range between 100 angstrom and 1000 angstrom of a depth of 2000 angstrom or less in a luminous region of the phosphor. The ion implantation thus carried out three times permits the phosphor to exhibit increased luminous efficiency as compared with one-time ion implantation.
