Patent number: 5751237Abstract: A trim unit having a simple structure is provided which has an arrangement such that an automatic repeating function is activated when a trim switch is depressed continuously. If a determination is performed in step S40 that count value CNT (1) of a first counter is larger than N3, then the value of CNT (1) is set to N2+CNT (2) so that count value CNT (2) of a second counter is increased. Then, the trimming position is moved by one step in step S80. If the trim switch is continuously depressed, the interval for the count value CNT (1) to be larger than N3 in shortened in accordance with the count value CNT (2). Thus, the repeating speed for the trimming position to be moved is raised so that the trimming position is quickly adjusted.Type: GrantFiled: April 4, 1996Date of Patent: May 12, 1998Assignee: Futaba Denshi Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Masahiro Tanaka

Patent number: 5705097Abstract: A conductive paste capable of effectively preventing current interruption in through-holes of a fluorescent display device. An anode substrate having Al film wirings formed thereon is laminatedly provided thereon with an insulating layer, which is then formed thereon with an anode conductor and phosphor layers in turn, leading to an anode. The insulating layer is formed with through-holes, in which the conductive paste is filled to make electrical connection between the wirings and the anode conductors. The conductive paste is formed of a mixture of Ag, glass and a vehicle, and Zn and/or Sb added to the mixture, wherein Zn and/or Sb are added to the mixture in an amount of 1 to 40 wt. % based on Ag. Zn and/or Sb serve as a catalyst for promoting alloying between Ag contained therein and Al, resulting in providing electrical connection therebetween with highly increased stability.Type: GrantFiled: July 21, 1995Date of Patent: January 6, 1998Assignee: Futaba Denshi Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Toshinori Suzuki, Kuniaki Kawatsu

Patent number: 5572231Abstract: A drive device for a field emission cathode capable of driving an image display device at a high speed while preventing leakage luminescence. A plurality of gate electrodes and cathode electrodes which are arranged in a matrix-like manner are scanned to drive an image display device. A leading edge of a drive pulse for driving the cathode electrodes in turn is defined to be a precharge period, during which a precharge pulse of a level V.sub.CH which does not permit emission of electrodes from emitter arrays is added. During the precharge, the gate electrodes are subject to blanking by a blanking pulse. This results the cathode electrodes being driven, followed by precharging, so that the cathodes may be driven at an increased speed while preventing leakage luminescence.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 1994Date of Patent: November 5, 1996Assignee: Futaba Denshi Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Yoichi Kobori

Patent number: 5558814Abstract: A phosphor capable of exhibiting luminescence with high efficiency by excitation due to impingement of electrons accelerated under an anode voltage of hundreds volts to about 2 kV thereon and a method for preparing the same are disclosed. Mn is ion-implanted in ZnGa.sub.2 O.sub.4 which is a matrix crystal of the phosphor deposited on a substrate. Three kinds of implantation energy of 150 keV, 90 keV and 30 keV are selected and the ion implantation is effected three times in the order of the level of the implantation energy. A concentration of Mn is rendered substantially constant within a depth range between 100 angstrom and 1000 angstrom of a depth of 2000 angstrom or less in a luminous region of the phosphor. The ion implantation thus carried out three times permits the phosphor to exhibit increased luminous efficiency as compared with one-time ion implantation.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 1994Date of Patent: September 24, 1996Assignees: Hiroshi Kukimoto, Futaba Denshi Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shigeo Itoh, Yoshihisa Yonezawa, Hitoshi Toki
