Patent number: 6966230Abstract: A dynamometric tool uses a four-mandrel press. The press head is provided with a specific press geometry which is predefined by the mandrels. The dynamometric tool produces a tool which can determine the actual force of compression in an easy-to-handle manner. The dynamometric tool also has two levers which are joined together and adapted to the geometry of the press head, and which interact upon a pressure sensor during compression.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2001Date of Patent: November 22, 2005Assignee: Gustav Klauke GmbHInventor: Egbert Frenken

Patent number: 6886226Abstract: A hand-held riveting tool is driven by a battery-powered electric motor, and comprises a hydraulically-actuated riveting head, and a reciprocating hydraulic pump driven by the electric motor. The tool includes a reservoir for hydraulic fluid, the hydraulic supply line from the pump to the riveting head being connected to the reservoir by a reservoir inlet valve which is normally open to allow hydraulic fluid to flow from the supply line into the reservoir. Operation of the tool-actuating trigger firstly closes the reservoir inlet valve, and then switches on the electric motor to operate the pump. Release of the tool-actuating trigger firstly switches off the electric motor to stop operation of the pump, and then opens the reservoir inlet valve. When the reservoir inlet valve is closed by operation of the trigger, it acts as a pressure-relief valve to relieve over-pressure of hydraulic fluid.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2000Date of Patent: May 3, 2005Assignees: Textron Fastening Systems Limited, Gustav Klauke, GmbHInventors: Robert A. Patent number: 6862793Abstract: The invention relates to a riveting device (1) comprising a pressure pad (3) and a riveting die (4). Said pressure pad (3) and riveting die (4) can be hydraulically driven by means of a pressure pad piston (12) and a die piston (13). The aim of the invention is to further develop such a riveting device (1) in an advantageous manner. To this end, the pressure pad piston (12) and the die piston (13) are driven by the same hydraulic pressure, the effective piston area (36) of the pressure pad piston (12) being embodied in a smaller manner than the effective piston area (14) of the die piston (13).Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2001Date of Patent: March 8, 2005Assignee: Gustav Klauke GmbHInventor: Egbert Frenken

Patent number: 6401515Abstract: A method for operating a hydraulic pressing device, for example, a pipe clamping device, that includes a stationary part and a moving part. The hydraulic pressing device also includes an automatically actuating return valve. The moving part of the hydraulic pressing device is displaced relative to the stationary part until a predetermined pressure is reached. At that point, the moving part returns automatically and completely back into its initial position, which is released as a result of the predetermined pressure being reached. The moving part is biased into its initial position by means of a return spring and, on removal of the restoring force, returns automatically back into its initial, closed condition.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 2001Date of Patent: June 11, 2002Assignee: Gustav Klauke GmbHInventor: Egbert Frenken

Patent number: 6276186Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a hydraulic pressuring device with a stationary part (26) and a moving part (24), whereby the moving past (24) is moved relative to the stationary part (26) until a predetermined pressure is reached. In order to operate a hydraulic pressuring device of this type, for example a cable shoe (connecting) or riveting tool pressing device, whose handling is especially improved, the invention provides that moving part (24) returns automatically and completely to the initial position thereof when a predetermined pressure is reached.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 1999Date of Patent: August 21, 2001Assignee: Gustav Klauke GmbHInventor: Egbert Frenken

Patent number: 6230542Abstract: A hydraulic apparatus for pressing or cutting workpieces, the apparatus having a mounting head for use with tools which can be moved against one another. The tools being arranged in the mounting head in a manner laterally offset from one another to allow them to move past each other. As a result of this configuration, there is provided, increased utility value, especially when using cutting tools. The tools are guided in grooves formed next to each other in the first embodiment. In this regard it is possible for a groove to be associated with each tool. In a second embodiment it is provided that the tools are guided in a common groove with additional support on opposite outer surface walls.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 1999Date of Patent: May 15, 2001Assignee: Gustav Klauke GmbHInventor: Egbert Frenken
