Abstract: This document describes an integrated release feature for pawl-latching devices. In particular, the integrated release feature is integrally connected to a pawl that is connected to a locking head of the pawl-latching device. The locking head defines a slot that extends through the locking head and includes a first channel conjoined with a second channel The pawl is disposed within the second channel and positioned internally to the locking head. The pawl has multiple pawl teeth to engage serrations on an elongate strap when the elongate strap is disposed within the first channel The integrated release feature includes at least one wall shaped to define multiple sides of an open cavity in a midsection of the pawl for receiving a release tool, and the wall has opposing ends that both face the first channel and have one or more additional pawl teeth.

  • Patent number: 10323774
Abstract: A mounting device configured to secure an elongate element to a threaded stud using a flexible cable tie is described herein. The mounting device includes a body portion defining a cavity oriented along a longitudinal axis having an opening configured to receive the stud. The cavity defines a flexible pawl configured to engage a thread of the plurality of helical threads, thereby securing the mounting device to the stud. The mounting device also includes a support portion arranged on a distal end of the body portion opposite the opening having a support surface configured to engage the elongate element and a first enclosed channel arranged along a lateral axis. The first channel defines a first pair of cable tie apertures configured to receive the flexible cable tie as it is wrapped about the elongate element, thereby securing the elongate element to the mounting device.

  • Patent number: 10316991
Abstract: A mounting clamp assembly configured to support one or more elongate elements from a cantilevered support. The mounting clamp assembly includes a clamp body having a stationary jaw defining a first clamping surface. The clamp body defines a plurality of clamp body teeth and a ratcheting member slideably attached to the clamp body. The ratcheting member has a moveable jaw that defines a second clamping surface opposite the first clamping surface. The ratcheting member further defines a plurality of ratcheting member teeth that are configured to engage the clamp body teeth. The plurality of ratcheting member teeth have a saw tooth profile, thereby providing a clamping force that slideably moves the stationary jaw and the moveable jaw toward one another that is less than an unclamping force that moves the stationary jaw and the moveable jaw away from one another.

  • Patent number: 10208874
Abstract: A retaining clip configured to secure an elongate member to a generally planar panel is described herein. The retaining clip includes a first side wall, a second side wall opposite the first side wall, and an end wall interconnecting the side walls. The side walls define a gap configured to receive the panel. The retaining clip includes further includes a resilient first cantilevered prong projecting into the gap from the first side wall and a resilient second cantilevered prong projecting from into the first gap from the second side wall. Free ends of the first and second prongs are characterized as having a pair of pointed barbs on distal edges of the first and second prongs. The pointed barbs are configured to increase a removal force required to remove the panel from the first gap. A method of forming such a retaining clip is also described.
