Patents Assigned to International Connectors and Cable Corporation
  • Patent number: 7241188
Abstract: Electrical connectors are generally discussed herein with particular discussions on spring clip connectors for connecting wires to electronically link a first audio component to a second audio component. The connectors provided herein incorporate at least one push button, at least one cam, at least one conductor, and at least one biasing member inside a housing. The at least one push button is configured to translate when depressed to then rotate the at least one cam to open a receptacle for receiving a wire. The wire is then placed in contact with the at least one conductor when the at least one push button is released.

  • Patent number: 6645014
Abstract: A wiring block mountable to a support surface for terminating communication wires includes a base having a mounting portion and first and second support members extending outwardly from the mounting portion. The first and second supports are spaced apart to form a cabling channel therebetween for receiving communication wires. A termination strip having a row of spaced apart teeth defining a plurality of slots for receiving communication wires is mounted to the base. The termination strip has a first end that is removably attached to the first support member and a second end that is hingedly connected to the second support member.

  • Patent number: 6106330
Abstract: An adapter housing for insertion into the outlet of a base product wherein the outlet is configured to receive a connector. The adapter housing includes a front wall, a top wall extending rearwardly from the front wall, and a bottom wall extending rearwardly from the front wall. The adapter housing also includes a means for mounting the housing to the outlet. The adapter housing may also be provided with a flush front wall for future expansion of the outlet or a front wall with an opening for the mounting of a connector. The adapter housing provides extra support at the back of the adapter housing by including a first leg and a second leg at the back of the housing. Each leg extends between the bottom wall and the top wall. The first and second legs are spaced from each other and from the front wall. Preferably, the legs may be arch shaped.

  • Patent number: 6062895
Abstract: A patch plug for connection to a 110-type connector block having a plurality of spaced apart electrical conductors. Each conduction has an insulation displacement contact at a back end thereof and a contact blade at a front end thereof. A dielectric housing contains the spaced apart electrical conductors and maintains them aligned in a predetermined position such that the insulation displacement conductors are disposed rearwardly of the respective blades, are arranged upwardly, and are aligned in a single row transverse to the direction of insertion of the contact blades into the 110-type connector block. A contact protection block is formed around the single row of insulation displacement contacts and includes two outer side walls one at each end of the single row of insulation displacement contacts. Intermediate walls are located between and extending above the insulation displacement contacts of adjacent conductors.

  • Patent number: 5624274
Abstract: A jack assembly for termination of a plurality of telephone wires includes a housing defining an opening for receiving a standard telephone plug. A contact pin carrier is mounted to the housing and supports eight contact pins having insulation displacement portions. The contact pin carrier further includes a contact protection block formed around the insulation displacement portions of the eight contact pins. A termination cap has telephone wire engagement portions that secure the telephone wires in conductive engagement with the insulation displacement portions of the contact pins. The termination cap further includes two end walls, each disposed in opposed alignment with a respective side wall of the contact protection block. The side walls of the termination cap may be interlocked to the contact protection block to retain the termination cap in an assembled position.
