Abstract: A two-part liquid container with a breakable partition which has a first half container sealing a sheet at a neck portion thereof for containing a first liquid; an intermediate cylindrical member for connecting a cylindrical sealing piece through a collapsible piece at a lower end thereof spirally engaging the lower half end thereof with the outer periphery of the neck portion of the first half container; a second half container sealing a sheet at the bottom opening thereof and having a cutting blade depending toward the vicinity of the bottom therein for engaging the lower part thereof impossible to turn with the upper half part of the intermediate member; and a sealing member for sealing the upper opening of the second half container. Thus two liquid can be readily mixed without necessity for a particular mixing container to prevent overflowing the liquid.

Abstract: A hair rinse composition is described which comprises a defined amount of at least one decomposition derivative of keratin material such as animal hair, human hair, nail, feather, hoof and the like. The derivatives are, for example, salts of decomposition products obtained by oxidation of keratin material or salts of derivatives at thiol groups of decomposition products obtained by reduction of keratin material. Surface active agents other than cationic surface active agents may be further contained.

Abstract: A process is disclosed for producing a water-absorbent material by dispersing and suspending an aqueous solution of a water-soluble, ethylenically unsaturated monomer in a hydrocarbon or halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon in the presence of an oil-soluble cellulose ester or cellulose ether and then carrying out the polymerization using a water-soluble radical-polymerization initiator, characterized by the feature that one or more water-soluble or water-dispersible surfactants is (are) added to the system during or after the polymerization reaction.

Abstract: A disposable diaper is disclosed which comprises a liquid-permeable surface sheet, a liquid-impermeable back face sheet and a water-absorbing layer disposed between said sheets, wherein water-absorbing shrinkable fibers, the length of which is reduced on contact with water to impart elasticity to the fibers, are fixed across the central portion of the diaper in the lengthwise direction of the diaper without being lapped over the water-absorbing layer and said water-absorbing layer is connected to said water-absorbing shrinkable fibers by cellulose fibers.

Abstract: Water-insoluble, high water-absorbent polymer beads are prepared by dispersing and suspending an aqueous solution of a water-soluble, ethylenically unsaturated monomer containing a small amount of a crosslinking agent in a dispersion medium of a hydrocarbon or a halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon, carrying out the bead polymerization in the presence of a water-soluble radical polymerization initiator and a protecting colloid comprising a cellulose ester or cellulose ether which is oil-soluble at the polymerization temperature, and separating the resulting beads.

Abstract: A hollow granular percarbonate is disclosed wherein the granules are hollow and the shell thereof is made of a crystalline percarbonate, along with a process for the preparation thereof.

Abstract: A shampoo composition is provided which is of the type which comprises a shampoo base containing at least one anionic surface active agent and a decomposition derivative of keratin material. The decomposition derivative is one or more of (1) decomposition products obtained by oxidation of keratin materials and derivatives at a thiol group of decomposition products obtained by reduction of keratin material.

Abstract: A hair rinse composition which comprises at least one cationic surface active agent and a decomposition derivative of a keratin material which have been dissolved or dispersed in a suitable solvent. The decomposition derivative is a member selected from hydrolysates of keratin material, alkali salts of decomposition products obtained by oxidation of keratin material, alkali salts of derivatives at a thiol group of decomposition products obtained by reduction of keratin material and a mixture thereof.

Abstract: A water-in-oil type cosmetic composition comprising a cosmetic oil base material, water and a specific emulsifier are disclosed. The specific emulsifier comprising the following three components:(1) 94 to 43% by weight of .alpha.-mono(methyl-branched alkyl) glyceryl ether represented by the formula (I):R--OCH.sub.2 CH(OH)CH.sub.2 OH (I)where, R is a methyl-branched saturated hydrocarbon group having 14 to 20 carbon atoms;(2) 0.4 to 9.8% by weight of a multi-valent metal salt of a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic acid having 10 to 22 carbon atoms; and(3) 8 to 54% by weight of at least one inorganic or organic salt having a solubility in water of at least 0.2 g per 100 g of water at 20.degree. C.

Abstract: Hair treatments comprising defined amounts of two ingredients, one of which being at least one decomposition derivative of keratin material such as hydrolysates of keratin material alkali salts of decomposition products obtained by oxidation of keratin material and alkali salts of derivatives at the thiol group of decomposition products obtained by reduction of keratin material. The other is at least one silicone derivative of the specific type.

Abstract: A liquid detergent composition is disclosed which comprises 5-25 wt. % of an ammonium alkyl sulfate, 0.2-10 wt. % of a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether and 0.2-10 wt. % of a fatty acid dialkanolamide, these three components being included within specific ranges as shown in the attached drawing. The composition is suitable as a shampoo composition and has stability at both high and low temperatures and an improved foaming property.

Abstract: A twisted combination yarn is disclosed which is made of a first yarn which contracts when it absorbs water, and a second yarn plied with the first yarn which is not substantially changed in length by contact with water. The twisted combination yarn of the invention has a high water absorbing capacity, and contracts and becomes elastic when it absorbs water.

Abstract: A liquid detergent composition comprises:(A) 5-25 wt. % of an ammonium alkyl sulfate of the formula (1):R.sub.1 OSO.sub.3 NH.sub.4 (1)wherein R.sub.1 is a straight-chain or branched, saturated hydrocarbon group having 8-18 carbon atoms on the average,(B) 0.05-5 wt. % of an alkylenediaminecarboxylic acid derivative of the formula (2): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.2 is an alkylene group having 2-3 carbon atoms, A, B, C and D may be the same or different and each is ##STR2## or hydrogen, R.sub.3 is C.sub.n H.sub.2n (n being 1 or 2), or ##STR3## and Y is hydrogen or a cation, with the proviso that the number of hydrogen atoms contained in A, B, C and D is at most 2, and(C) 0.1 to 5 wt. % of a carboxylic acid, a salt of the carboxylic acid, an amino acid or a salt of the amino acid.

Abstract: A tampon applicator comprises an outer cylinder containing an absorber and first and second inner cylinders for pushing out the absorber, wherein the first inner cylinder is fitted slidably into the outer cylinder, the second inner cylinder is fitted slidably into the first inner cylinder, and the second inner cylinder is provided on the outer surface thereof with a projection(s) having means for significantly changing the size thereof in the radial direction, which projection(s) is(are) kept in the first inner cylinder before use but serve to transmit a pushing-out pressure to the first inner cylinder at the time of the application.
