The aerosol-generating device of the present disclosure includes an aerosol-generating module including at least one heater configured to heat an aerosol-generating substance, a battery configured to supply electric power to the heater, a sensor module including at least one sensor configured to sense inhalation by a user, a memory, and a controller configured to control the electric power supplied to the heater. The controller determines an inhalation pattern associated with inhalation by the user based on a signal received from the sensor module, determines a temperature profile corresponding to the inhalation pattern based on the determined inhalation pattern when the determined inhalation pattern differs from a previous inhalation pattern, and controls the electric power supplied to the heater based on the temperature profile corresponding to the inhalation pattern.

Here, a sheet-type material including a plant extract may be applied to the smoking material portion or the wrapper.
