Abstract: A piston operated by a cable stretched out within hand reach along a dangerous zone actuates a tappet whose movements are transmitted to a slider. The slider in turn compresses a spring until in a first phase, before any switch actuation, a pawl engages a groove in the slider. This prevents return of the tappet to its rest position, whereby any attempt to simulate a machine breakdown by fraudulent actuation of the device leaves a trace in the device even before effective switch actuation has occurred. In a second phase the force of the spring exceeds the force necessary to retract locking pins of a striker which is therefore released abruptly to operate the switch. To restore the device to its standby state, a lock plug carrying a cam adapted to release the pawl from the groove in the slider is rotated by means of a key.
Abstract: A cable-controlled electrical safety switch device comprises a piston 15 tensioning a cable 2 under the action of a spring 23 via a rod 10 and a screw thread 12a for adjusting the tension of the spring and of the cable. A piston groove 25 actuates a push member 28 for the switch 40. The piston is angularly adjustable. The flank 32 of the groove remote from the spring is helicoidal. When the cable is long, a higher tension is selected so that the groove flank 31 moves away from the push member 28. This distancing is desirable in order that any length variations due to heat--which are greater with a long cable--may be prevented from triggering the switch. The clearance between the other flank 32 and the push member 28 is then corrected by rotation of the piston.
Abstract: An electromechanical switching apparatus is provided, particularly a protection apparatus, whose contacts are controllable by means of a local of remote controlled electromagnet. The electromagnet is of the monostable type and an engagement mechanism is associated with a mobile assembly connected to the mobile armature. A two position switch accessible from outside the case enables and, respectively, disables the operation of the engagement mechanism. An auxiliary closure piece is provided for manual closure of the contacts.
Abstract: An electromagnet is provided comprising a fixed yoke, a movable armature including a core concentric with an energization coil, and magnetizable plates separated from the yoke by a variable longitudinal air-gap, a return means providing the rest position of the armature, and a compensation device comprising a thin U shaped stirrup piece whose two legs cooperate with the ends of the plate, portions of this stirrup cooperate with inclined ramps of an adjustable rotary cam, placed concentrically with the core of the armature.
Abstract: A protection module is provided for a contact-maker electromagnet. The resistive and capacitive elements of an RC circuit for protecting a contact-maker against parasites are disposed in an insulating module having two projecting receptacles connected together by a third flat receptacle which has passing therethrough connection conductors, two of which are extended by pins adapted for cooperating resiliently with free portions of the terminals of the coil.
Abstract: The invention relates to a removable memory cartridge for electronic equipment such as a programmable automaton, the cartridge being of the type comprising a box (101), a memory unit mounted in the box, an elongate connector fixed to the box, and grasping means provided on the box to enable the cartridge to be extracted by seaprating the connector. The grasping means comprise a flat member (110) hinged about an axis (114) lying at least approximately in the midplane of the connector, said flat member being suitable for occupying a first position against the box where it does not substantially increase the size thereof, and a second position away from the box in which it may be grasped in order to exert an extraction force on the box acting substantially level with the connector.
Abstract: The invention discloses a printed circuit card on which is welded at least an electronic component box as well as a thermal dissipator for dissipating the heat emitted by the component box. The component box and the thermal dissipator are respectively provided with clips and lugs which are engaged and welded in respective holes drilled in the card. A thermal drainage metallic area provided on a zone of the card located under the box forms a thermal adduction path between the box and the lugs of the thermal dissipator. This thermal drainage metallic area is further connected to a clip ensuring a privileged thermal drainage of the electronic component box.

Abstract: In a deformable system whereby electrical energy distribution conduits and conductors disposed longitudinally therein can be connected along a curved path, the system comprises a deformable central part containing a layer of conductors. Said central part comprises links hinged about axes parallel to the layer and perpendicular to the conductors, which latter are plastically deformable. They are solid conductors having a section which is flattened in the transverse direction of the layer of conductors. The said axes extend through the neutral axis of the conductors.Use to eliminate adverse elastic return movements of the system.

Abstract: The invention provides a device for controlling an electromagnet having a coil (L) connected to a monoarch periodic current supply source, through a controllable switch (TH). This switch (TH) is controlled by a control circuit comprising a member for detecting the zero cross-over times of the voltage of the source (R.sub.3, D.sub.4, IN.sub.1, R.sub.4, C.sub.3) and a switching device (FC) controlled by said detection member for delivering a closure signal to the switch (TH) following detection of a zero cross-over time which follows the order for controlling energization of the coil (L). The invention applies particularly to contactors and electromagnetic valves.

Abstract: An optical signalling device has a partially transparent envelope (2), a substantially U-shaped luminous tube (10) containing a gaseous atmosphere being placed within the envelope and supplied by a capacitor (C) which is charged and discharged by electric circuits placed on a printed circuit card (17).Within an insulating casing (4) having an end-wall (13) and side walls (14, 15), there is placed and maintained a printed circuit card (17) which carries conductive tracks (38, 39) soldered directly to the supply terminals (36, 37) of the gas tube (10). The gas tube is placed in a plane substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the casing and has two portions (32a, 33a) adjacent to the ends of its parallel arms (32, 33) which are securely clamped between two resilient lips (44) forming part of the end-wall (13) through which they pass. The bent region (35) of the tube extends externally of the end-wall and is protected by a transparent cover (5) of the envelope (2).
Abstract: A protected electric switching apparatus is provided and its fixing device, comprising a contactor with a latch for engaging a profiled rail and with which a removable thermal relay is associated by means of conducting pins. A channel is formed between two opposite walls so as to allow a screwdriver to have access to an eye of this latch.
