Abstract: The invention provides a safety device for an electric installation protection apparatus, comprising a residual differential current detector through which pass a phase conductor and a neutral conductor, and a processing circuit supplied by a rectifier bridge and connected to the phase and neutral conductors. It further comprises biasing and safety circuits formed by a static bidirectional switch connected between a ground connection and the AC terminals of the rectifier bridge.

The two molded cases of modular elements are first of all coupled together in the manner of a hinge by means of two hooks which fit respectively into two mating housings, then are applied one against the other by pivoting one of the cases, and are finally locked together by means of a flexible tongue which snap-fits on to a mating part of the other case.

Abstract: The switch of the invention includes, for each pole, an insulating case having two lateral dividing walls one of which forms part of an open pole housing and the other belongs to a closure element of the case. Each pole includes a contact opening mechanism with which is associated a common transmission piece for coupling said pole with an adjacent pole. This piece is mounted for rotation in a bearing formed in the lateral dividing wall of the case. It has at one end a male coupling element and at a second end a female coupling element, these elements being of complementary shapes for allowing engagement of adjacent and coaxial coupling pieces by fitting together.

Abstract: A device is provided for digitally determining and safeguarding a thermal image including a processor connected to at least one sensor able to form a digital image of the thermal state of an apparatus, a random access memory containing the thermal image formed by the processor and a safeguard for storing, should there be a voltage cut, the instantaneous thermal image. The safeguard includes a programmable digital counter fed by a capacity curing power-cuts and equipped with a clock which modifies its counting state for the duration of the absence of voltage. The processor reads the state of the counter after restoration of the voltage.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a static power switch circuit having a power switch member having a bidirectional power switch with at least one controlled semiconductor of the thyristor or triac type with power terminals connected to an AC source in series with a load and a circuit for controlling the power switch member having a first control switch whose current path is connected to the gate of the power semiconductor through a full wave rectifier bridge, this switch being connected to a circuit able to generate control energy of the switch in response to an input signal.

Abstract: An inductive current measuring sensor is provided comprising several coils connected electrically in series and disposed in a polygonal contour, so as to surround the conductor on which it is desired to measure the current. Each coil comprises windings disposed on an insulating bobbin and connection elements. The bobbins are disposed on the face of a printed circuit having a central recess through which the conductor may pass. The printed circuit carries conducting tracks interconnecting the fixing points of the connection elements together and to external connection members.

Abstract: An electric switch in which a screen is inserted very quickly between two contacts at the moment when they part. The energy of the arc generated between the contacts inside a volume surrounded by an insulating mobile sheath is used to heat gases released, and the resulting gas pressure displaces the sheath quickly, so that the arc passing through an opening in the sheath is sheared between the sheath and the housing. This type of switch is used to advantage in protection apparatus designed to respond to an abnormal increase of the current flowing in a circuit in which they are series mounted, and in switches where rated current is high.

Said device comprises at least one short circuiting ring mounted on the fixed magnetic circuit and formed by a good electrically conducting and a magnetic metal sheet, and having at least one part shaped so as to extend into said air gap.

Abstract: An emergency switching apparatus is provided having an operating button which keeps the trace of its actuation and controls an electric switch.The switch is struck by a piston which is itself driven by a spring which is loaded by the longitudinal movement of the button, and which is freed by the retraction of the latches, having, on the one hand, an antagonistic effect to that of the spring and, on the other hand, an action latching the button when these latches have ridden over a projection on which they were bearing beforehand.

Abstract: An electric control device adaptable to a two state switching device is provided comprising two electromagnets disposed head to tail and each having a coil inside which a coil is slidably mounted, and two rocking levers which each comprise a first arm having a toothed sector and a second arm coupled to a respective core. The two toothed sectors mesh with a toothed pinion mounted for rotation in the case. This toothed pinion may be coupled to the operating shaft of a switching device.
