Patents Assigned to Liebherr-Werk Biberach GmbH
  • Patent number: 7942228
Abstract: A truck has improved control with a plurality of wheels each having a single wheel drive and a device for controlling speed and/or torque of the single wheel drives. The control device has a separate controller train for each wheel drive, with each controller train having a differential controller for correcting divided torque depending on steering angle and a wheel slip controller correcting the divided torque or torque value corrected by the differential controller depending on wheel slip and providing a corresponding single wheel drive torque value.

  • Patent number: 7891946
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rotor blade adjusting drive for adjusting the pitch angle of a rotor blade of a wind power plant, comprising a drive train which at the output end can be connected with the rotor blade and/or a bearing member supporting the rotor blade, and a spring accumulator connectable with the drive train, which includes a spring accumulator shaft, a spring accumulator housing and a spring means which can be tensioned by rotating spring accumulator shaft and spring accumulator housing relative to each other, wherein the spring accumulator shaft and/or the spring accumulator housing can be uncoupled from the drive train and is rotatable with respect to the same for biasing the spring accumulator, wherein a braking device is provided for retarding and/or holding the spring accumulator shaft and/or the spring accumulator housing against the spring bias in the uncoupled condition of the spring accumulator.

  • Patent number: 7699584
Abstract: Actuator for adjusting pitch angle of a rotor blade of a wind turbine rotatably mounted on a rotor hub, comprising a first drive element connectable with the rotor blade, a second drive element in meshing engagement with said first drive element, a lubricating device for lubricating the two drive elements and lubrication controller. A rotor with a rotor hub, on which at least one rotor blade is rotatably mounted, with actuator adjustable pitch angle. A wind turbine comprising such rotor and such actuator. Selective lubrication of zero teeth of the gear stage of the actuator considers the rotary position of the drive elements of the gear stage with respect to each other. The lubricating device includes a lubricant passage to selectively supply portion of first drive element and/or portion of second drive element meshing therewith depending on engagement position of drive elements or rotary position of rotor blade.

  • Patent number: 7669865
Abstract: The present invention relates to an axle suspension for heavy vehicles, in particular trucks, comprising an axle beam which bears axle parts projecting over at oppositely disposed sides, each axle part preferably bearing a wheel drive; an axle beam bearing which permits upward and downward movements of the axle beam as well as pendular movements of the axle beam around a substantially lying pendular axis transverse to the longitudinal direction of the axle parts; a spring device for the resilient support of the upward and downward movements of the axle beam at a vehicle frame; and also a pendular damping device for the damping of the pendular movements of the axle beam.

  • Patent number: 7422123
Abstract: The present invention relates to a crane boom for transport as container freight which can be assembled from a plurality of boom parts which each have coupling pieces at the front face end for the putting together of the boom parts, wherein the boom parts each have at least one bottom chord and can be placed next to one another such that the bottom chords of the boom parts together form a continuous runway free of offset and faults for a crab. The invention further relates to a transport apparatus for the transport of boom parts of a crane boom of this type as container freight. In accordance with the invention, the boom parts of the crane boom, despite the identical bottom chord track dimensions which provide a runway for a normal crab on the bottom chords largely free of offset and faults, have different cross-sections such that the boom parts can be pushed into one another for the purpose of transport, whereby the space in the boom parts is also utilized.

  • Patent number: 7147073
Abstract: A heavy goods vehicle has several wheel pairs forming a driven wheel axle, which wheel pairs are each supported by a separate rocker arm, which extends between the wheels of the respective wheel pairs and carries on opposite sides two wheel hubs on which the wheels can be attached. For each wheel of the wheel pair there is provided an independent wheel drive which consists of an electric motor and a reduction stage, which transfers the drive motion of the electric motor to the respective wheel hub. For each wheel of the wheel pair there is provided an independent wheel brake, which is arranged on an outside of the respective electric motor and/or the respective reduction stage facing away from the respective rocker arm and which is arranged, together with the respective electric motor and the respective reduction stage, inside the respective wheel hub and the associated wheel axle.
