Abstract: An adjudicated response to a healthcare transaction for a product or service for a patient is received and includes a transaction submission time, and transaction comparison data. The transaction comparison data can be compared to a multitude of transaction records of previously processed healthcare transactions to identify a match. The transaction submission time for each of the received healthcare transaction and stored healthcare transaction can be received and compared to one another to determine a submission time difference between the submission time for the healthcare transaction and the stored healthcare transaction. The submission time difference can be compared to a time limit threshold to determine if the difference satisfies the time limit threshold. Based on the determination that the submission time difference satisfies the threshold, the received healthcare transaction can be determined to be a request for a service, such as prior authorization assistance.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining and communicating prescription benefit coverage information to a prescriber of the product, service, or medication. A prescription benefit check request may be received by the service provider computer from a healthcare provider computer for the prescriber of the product, service, or medication. The service provider computer may format a prescription request for the prescribed product, service, or medication and transmit the prescription request to a pharmacy claims processor computer for processing. The service provider computer may receive a prescription response that includes a determination of the prescription request from the pharmacy claims processor computer.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating an individual's longitudinal medication history. Consent to generate an individual's longitudinal medication history across a pharmacy(s) and a claims processor(s) is received. A first collection of medication history data corresponding to the individual is selectively identified from medication history data files associated with the claims processor(s) and a first plurality of individuals. The selective identification is based on a claims processor patient identifier(s) associated with the individual and the claims processor(s). A second collection of medication history data corresponding to the individual is selectively identified from medication history data files associated with the pharmacy(s) and a second plurality of individuals. The selective identification is based on a linking index(s) associated with the claims processor patient identifier(s).

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining the operational status of third-party switch/service providers. The service provider computer receives healthcare transactions and determines if each transaction is to be processed by a third-party switch provider system, either under a contract between the pharmacy and the third-party switch provider or under an exclusivity arrangement between the transaction payer and the third-party switch provider. Healthcare transactions are sent to the third-party switch provider for processing. If the transmission is not successful, the service provider computer will determine if the third-party switch provider system is operating.

Abstract: A method is provided for managing retrieval of content for display in a table by a browser. When large tables of data are displayed by browsers, not all the data can be viewed at once. To improve performance, only the data in the visible portion of table may be downloaded when the user first accesses the page. The table may be divided into tiles such that each tile comprises multiple table cells, each tile to be treated as a separate component to be independent loaded and rendered. When a user accesses the page, the relevant data for the initially displayed tile(s) is downloaded from the server, stored in the browser's document object model (DOM), and rendered for display. As the user scrolls, additional data not yet stored in the DOM is downloaded, cached in the DOM and rendered.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present invention may provide a method of dispensing a product having a verified identity to be labeled and packaged without requiring additional validation and verification. According to an example embodiment, a dispensing system may include a display, a workstation, a user interface, and a controller. The controller may be configured to receive an indication that the workstation is clear of any products, such as products associated with a previous dispensing operation. The controller may: receive provide for presentation on the display of an identification of a batch of a first product type to be retrieved in response to the indication that the workstation is clear; receive an identification of a batch of products of a first product type that is received at the workstation; and identify a queue of orders for the first product type as maintained in a memory.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining patient financial responsibility for multiple prescription products across multiple healthcare transactions. A service provider computer can receive multiple healthcare transactions, and can evaluate each to determine if it includes a total group transaction number and a transaction number. The service provider computer can compare the transaction number to the total group transaction number to determine if all transactions within a group have been received. Once received, the transactions can be transmitted to the claims processor computer for adjudication. Upon receiving the adjudicated response for each transaction within the group, the service provider computer can identify the patient co-pay for each of the adjudicated responses in the group and can calculate a total patient pay amount based on the group of patient co-pays. The total patient pay amount may then be transmitted to a healthcare provider computer associated with a healthcare provider.

In particular, methods may include automatically causing an image to be captured at each of two or more stages of a replenishment process, where respective images are of a loading receptacle of a replenishment station, the loading receptacle configured to hold medication. For example, a tablet packaging system may be provided that includes a vibrating tray configured to feed a plurality of tablets to respective packages. The tablet packaging system may also include a first gas nozzle configured to direct a first flow of gas across the vibrating tray with the first flow of gas having a spaced relationship from the vibrating tray. The tablet packaging system may also include a second gas nozzle configured to direct a second flow of gas toward the vibrating tray. Further, the tablet packaging system may include a receiving hood configured to collect at least a portion of the gas provided by the first and second gas nozzles and to collect dust from the plurality of tablets.
