  • Patent number: 11716159
Abstract: One example communication device receives a radio frequency (RF) signal. The communication device may include a radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) that includes an internal attenuator. The RFIC and other processing circuitry may convert the received RF signal to a baseband frequency to generate a processed complex baseband signal. A digital signal processor of the communication device may determine, based on detection of or lack of detection of distortion terms in a frequency spectrum of the processed complex baseband signal at frequencies corresponding to integer multiples of a symbol rate of a linear modulation interferer, a modulation type of an interferer signal that forms at least part of the processed complex baseband signal. The digital signal processor may also control whether the internal attenuator is enabled based on a received signal strength indication (RSSI) of a desired RF signal and the modulation type of the interferer signal.

  • Patent number: 11711102
Abstract: A very low intermediate frequency receiver and methods for controlling the same. One method includes providing, using a local oscillator, a first intermediate frequency, detecting, using an interferer detector, an adjacent or alternate channel interference signal and an image of the adjacent or adjacent channel interference signal causing interference with a desired signal, and determining, using an electronic processor, whether the desired signal is an analog signal. In response to determining that the desired signal is an analog signal, the method includes controlling, using the electronic processor, the local oscillator to provide a second intermediate frequency.

  • Patent number: 11699833
Abstract: A battery pack is provided that can better manage peak current of in a converged portable radio. The battery pack comprises an internal Li-Ion cell stack characterized by a linear output voltage curve. A DC-DC converter converts the internal cell stack voltage to a desired DC-DC converter output voltage. The output voltage and current sourcing capability of the battery pack remain constant over the full cell discharge curve. The battery pack optimizes cell utilization, without the use of any internal microprocessor, thereby supporting the operation of simultaneous high peak current application features associated with LMR and LTE.

  • Patent number: 11690023
Abstract: Methods and systems for mitigating interference between different transceivers in a portable communication device. An electronic control circuit is configured to quantify an electromagnetic isolation between a first transceiver of a portable communication and a second transceiver of the portable communication device based on a detected radio frequency power coupled to the first transceiver from radio frequency signals transmitted by the second transceiver. A mitigation action is selected from a plurality of mitigation actions based on a magnitude of the quantified electromagnetic isolation. The selected mitigation action is then applied to the second transceiver to adjust at least one radio frequency characteristic of the second transceiver.

  • Patent number: 11682394
Abstract: A method and apparatus for operating a device when a user does not answer a call is provided herein. During operation a wake word for the device is identified as a user's call sign (a combination of identifying letters, letters and numbers, or words assigned to an officer for use in communication (as in the address of a message sent by radio). The call sign does not comprise a sender or receiver's actual name. When a device detects the wake word as an over-the-air transmission, the device will determine if a user answered the call. If not, sensor data will be provided to the caller and a digital assistant will periodically remind the user of the unanswered call.

  • Patent number: 11669979
Abstract: A camera system comprises an image capturing device, object detection module, object tracking module, and match classifier. The object detection module receives image data and detects objects appearing in one or more of the images. The object tracking module temporally associates instances of detected objects, each of which has a signature representing features of the detected object. The match classifier matches object instances by analyzing data derived from the signatures. The match classifier determines whether the signatures match.

  • Patent number: 11652625
Abstract: A system and process for performing a touchless key provisioning operation for a communication device. In operation, a key management facility (KMF) imports a public key and a public key identifier uniquely identifying the public key of the communication device. The public key is associated with an asymmetric key pair generated at the communication device during its factory provisioning and configuration. The KMF registers the communication device and assigns a key encryption key (KEK) for the communication device. The KMF then provisions the communication device by deriving a symmetric touchless key provisioning (TKP) key based at least in part on the public key of the communication device, encrypting the KEK with the symmetric TKP key to generate a key wrapped KEK, and transmitting the key wrapped KEK to the communication device for decryption by the communication device.

An indication of if a received frame has been determined to be an erasure frame is received from a plurality of receiver wireless communications devices. The indications of if the received frame has been determined to be an erasure frame are aggregated. The frame identified by the frame identifier is declared to be an erasure frame when at least one of the plurality of wireless communications devices has indicated the received frame has been determined to be an erasure frame. That an error occurred on an uplink between the sender wireless communication device and the RAN is determined when the frame is declared an erasure frame.
