  • Patent number: 6833821
Abstract: The present invention provides a 3-dimensional wave-guiding structure for horn or tube-type waveguides. The wave-guiding structure comprises a fiber-reinforced composite material and a conductive nonwoven fabric shaped together with the composite material. The present invention also provides a 3-dimensional wave-guiding structure comprising a conductive nonwoven fabric 30 and a fiber-reinforced triaxial woven fabric 20 which are laminated alternately or in an arbitrary order. The conductive nonwoven fabric having flexibility can be readily shaped together with the composite material composed of a triaxial woven fabric or the like in conformity with the 3-dimensional shape of various horn or tube-like waveguides such as a waveguide diplexer, waveguide circulator, hybrid waveguide and waveguide directional coupler to provide a lightweight wave-guiding structure capable of achieving both excellent mechanical and electrical characteristics.

  • Patent number: 6751422
Abstract: A spatial light communication equipment being capable of providing compatibility between two communication equipments placed opposite to each other and of providing, with simplified configurations, highly accurate seizure and tracking capability and excellent beam directivity for ultra-long-distance communication. Angular error in a receiving beam is detected by an angle detector disposed on an optical axis of light reflected by a first reflecting plane of a beam deflector and, based on detected results, an angle deflected by the beam deflector is corrected.

  • Publication number: 20040107441
Abstract: A satellite value added communication system includes an information distribution center which connects to a satellite ground station and controls transmission/receiving of information to/from a satellite communication terminal. The information distribution center connects to the Internet based on a request from the terminal, and distributes predetermined contents to the terminal. The information distribution center connects to a variety of networks, and based on requests of users through the networks, distributes a large amount of information (contents) directly to user's terminals through a communication satellite. In this system, the information distribution center can control a conference or a seminar among the terminals.

  • Patent number: 6452539
Abstract: An electromagnetic wave radiation control apparatus includes an antenna, a modulator, an amplifier, and a radiation control unit. The modulator modulates a carrier wave based on a transmission signal to output a modulated signal, wherein the modulator stops the output of the modulated signal in response to a power off command. The amplifier amplifies the modulated signal such that the amplified signal is radiated as electromagnetic wave from the antenna, when the modulated signal is outputted from the modulator. The radiation control unit generates the power off command to the modulator, when radiation of electromagnetic wave in a current radiation direction of the antenna is inhibited, or when a level of a reception signal by the antenna is equal to or lower than a predetermined minimum level.
