Abstract: A method for obtaining a heating element for an electronic vapor provision system, the method including providing a sheet of electrically conductive porous material, directing light onto at least a portion of the sheet, detecting an amount of the light transmitted through the portion of the sheet, comparing the amount of light detected to a range of light transmission values known to correspond to a predetermined range of electrical resistance values required for the portion, and selecting the portion of the sheet for use as a heating element if the amount of detected light lies within the range of light transmission values, and otherwise rejecting the portion of the sheet.
Abstract: The disclosure provides products configured for oral use, the products including compositions comprising a filler component including negatively charged groups and an active ingredient including positively charged groups. The active ingredient can be retained by the filler component at least in part through bonding between the negatively charged groups and the positively charged groups such that active ingredient may be release from the product when positioned within an oral cavity of a consumer.

Abstract: Circuitry for a plurality of induction elements for an aerosol generating device is disclosed. Each of the plurality of induction elements is for inductive heating of one or more susceptors for heating aerosol generating material in use. The circuitry includes a plurality of driver arrangements, each one of the plurality of driver arrangements being arranged to provide, from an input direct current, an alternating current to a respective one of the plurality of induction elements in use. Each driver arrangement includes one or more first transistors each controllable by a switching potential to substantially allow current to pass therethrough in use. The circuitry also includes a converter arranged to step up an input potential to provide the switching potential in use, the converter being common to each of the plurality of driver arrangements.
Abstract: A vapor provision system includes a reservoir defining a storage volume to hold aerosolizable substrate material; and an aerosolizable substrate material detection system including an optical source located externally of the reservoir and operable to emit light into the storage volume; an optical detector located externally of the reservoir and operable to detect light emitted by the optical source that has traversed an optical path through the storage volume; and a controller configured to determine a characteristic of light detected by the optical detector and deduce information regarding a depth of aerosolizable substrate material in the storage volume from the determined characteristic of the light.
Abstract: An aerosol forming component for volatilizing a liquid in an aerosol delivery device is disclosed. The aerosol forming component includes a first aerosol-forming member configured to be heated up to a first operating temperature and thereafter to a second higher operating temperature, and a second aerosol-forming member configured to be heated up to at least the first operating temperature as the first aerosol-forming member reaches the second higher operating temperature so that liquid volatilized from the two aerosol-forming members mix with one another.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for use with an RLC resonance circuit for inductive heating of a susceptor of an aerosol generating device. The apparatus is arranged to determine a resonant frequency of the RLC resonance circuit; and determine, based on the determined resonant frequency, a first frequency for the RLC resonance circuit for causing the susceptor to be inductively heated, the first frequency being above or below the determined resonant frequency. The apparatus may be arranged to control a drive frequency of the RLC resonance circuit to be at the determined first frequency in order to heat the susceptor. Also disclosed is an aerosol generating device including the apparatus.
