  • Publication number: 20110244066
Abstract: An apparatus is configured to produce a spunbonded fabric. In order to achieve an airiness of the spunbonded fabric and ready adaptability to process parameters which are to be changed, a spinning beam together with a blowing apparatus is configured to be pivotable in a pivoting unit. A relatively high airiness is achieved by the filaments running obliquely onto the fabric belt below the spinning beam. Rotary leadthroughs or elastic feed lines to the spinning beam make the slight pivoting possible.

  • Publication number: 20110121480
Abstract: A method for melt spinning, stretching, and winding a multifilament thread to form an FDY-yarn as well as a device for performing the method are presented. Hereby, a plurality of filaments are first extruded from thermoplastic melt, cooled to a temperature below the glass transition temperature of the thermoplastic material, and gathered to form a filament bundle without adding a preparation fluid. The filament bundle is then drawn-off at a speed above 1,500 m/min., heated to have a temperature above the glass transition temperature of the thermoplastic material, and stretched at a drawing speed above 4,000 m/min. Preparation of the filament bundle with a preparation fluid and winding the thread to form a spool is then performed. The device has the preparation device arranged in a zone of the thread course between the drawing device and the winding device, in which the thread has a thread-running speed above 4,000 m/min.

  • Patent number: 7946398
Abstract: A permanently excited magnetic hysteresis brake (1) comprises a support roller (7) rotatable about a fixed axle (9), a magnetic element (3), a hysteresis element (2) and an adjusting device for adjusting the position of the magnetic element (3) and hysteresis element (2) relative to one another and for adjusting the braking torque acting via the support roller (7) on the yarn (5). The magnetic hysteresis brake (1) has only one single mechanically acting actuator (18) for adjusting the braking torque. Both the adjustment of the braking torque to the desired value for the operation of the brake (1) and the adjustment of the braking torque when calibrating the brake (1) are carried out by actuation of this one actuator (18). The structure and handling of the magnetic hysteresis brake (1) can be simplified thereby. The magnetic hysteresis brake (1) can be used to maintain a uniform thread tension on textile machines.

  • Patent number: 7917998
Abstract: A method and a cutting device for the continuous cutting of fibers fed in fiber cables into fiber sections of particularly short length is disclosed. In order to avoid high friction forces between the formed knives and the fiber sections, and furthermore, to prevent excessive deforming of the fiber section during the transport between the knives, the knives are arranged at an offset to each other such that the fibers are initially cut into longer fiber sections, and into shorter fiber sections in a second step. The respective free space between the knives is increased due to the offset arrangement of the knives.

  • Publication number: 20110062275
Abstract: A bobbin holder for tensioning a bobbin tube and receiving a wound thread bobbin is presented. The bobbin holder includes a rotatable drive shaft that is connected to a drive with a bearing end thereof and that has a tensioning device for tensioning a bobbin tube on a tensioning end. The tensioning device includes a plurality of bobbin tubes on the periphery of the drive shaft and interposed tensioning rings. A tensioning piston guided on the free end of the drive shaft acts upon at least one of the bobbin tubes to deform the tensioning rings. In order to allow the use of high fatigue strength materials for the tensioning ring, the tensioning ring includes a continuous separating slot on the periphery, which extends between two opposite ring ends of the tensioning ring, deformation being essentially achieved by an expansion of the tensioning ring.

  • Patent number: RE42765
Abstract: A plant serves as a mean for production of a fibre web of synthetic fibres, such as plastic fibres and absorbent fibres, such as viscose and cellulose fibres. The plant includes a forming head preliminary to lay a homogeneously and smoothly distributed fibre layer on a net shaped wire. Furthermore the plant includes a hydro-entangling section with liquid nozzles with powerful liquid jets to treat the in the forming head formed fibre layer, which consists of both synthetic—and absorbent fibres.
