  • Patent number: 7845923
Abstract: A spinning, drawing and texturing machine for the production of curled threads includes a spinning unit and multiple machine modules associated with the spinning unit. Each of the machine modules has multiple processing assemblies for drawing and curling one of the threads, and a spooling unit for winding the thread. The machine modules positioned next to one another form a longitudinal side of the machine. The processing assemblies and the spooling unit are arranged among each other at one of the machine modules such that a narrow machine partition (T) in a range of <800 mm occurs on the longitudinal side of the machine. The spinning unit has one or more spinnerets and one spinning duct within the machine partition (T) per machine module. The spinnerets are held in rows parallel to the longitudinal side of the machine.

  • Patent number: 7843098
Abstract: A method for operating an electromotive drive of a textile machine, comprising a contactlessly mounted rotor and catch bearings. The rotor rests on one catch bearing prior to initial operation, and is spaced therefrom by an air gap during stationary operation. A control device allows the rotor to be held in a force-free floating state during stationary operation. The method executes the following steps: (a) inputting an output signal from the control device for maintaining the force-free floating state during operation; (b) calculating the air gap by evaluating the output signal; (c) comparing the calculated value with predetermined limit values; and (d) deactuating the drive when the limit values are passed. The control device comprises a position sensor with at least one sensor coil, at least one actuator coil, a position controller and an integrator, at which the output signal is obtained to determine the air gap.

  • Publication number: 20100297442
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a multi-colored composite thread made of a plurality of extruded colored filament bundles. To this end, a plurality of different dyed polymer melts is generated and extruded in parallel through a plurality of spinnerets to form the colored filament bundles. The colored filament bundles are brought together as a mixed color to form the composite thread. In order to generate a color pattern or to correct the mixed color of the composite thread, according to the invention, the generation of the dyed polymer melts is modified during the extrusion of the filament bundle in order to modify the mixed color of the composite thread.

  • Patent number: 7721519
Abstract: A method which improves the correspondence between the produced fancy yarn and the predetermined configuration of said fancy yarn. The fancy yarn is guided through a sensor device in a spinning device after it is formed and the diameter of the fancy yarn is continuously measured by the sensor device. The fancy configuration of the produced yarn is determined on the basis of the measured values of the diameter and is compared with the predetermined fancy configuration. The comparison is carried out until sufficient correspondence between the predetermined fancy configuration and the fancy configuration of the optimized, produced yarn is achieved.

  • Patent number: 7712197
Abstract: A method and an apparatus involves crimping a multifilament thread, wherein the thread which is produced by melt spinning is compressed to a thread plug. The thread plug is cast on the circumference of rotating processing drum for thermal treatment and is wrapped around the circumference of the processing drum with many side-by-side wraparounds. Following that, the thread plug is unravelled in an unravelling area on the circumference of the processing drum into the crimped thread which is pulled of the processing drum. To obtain a continuous and regular unravelling of the thread plug with multiple wraparounds and mutual touching of the wraparounds of the thread plug, the thread is guided at a slant from the unravelling area of the thread plug such that a growing axial space appears between the thread and the thread plug, on the circumference of the processing drum, during increasing wraparounds of the thread on the circumference of the processing drum.

  • Patent number: 7690181
Abstract: A method for operating a spinning machine with plural spinning stations (1), each case having a take-off roller device (6, 10, 14) for drawing a yarn (9) from a spinning device (2) and a sensor mechanism (26) for checking piecings. When starting a piecing, the theoretical conveying length of the yarn is determined based on the surface speed of the rollers (10, 14), until the piecing reaches the sensor mechanism (26). The deviation of the theoretical conveying length from a desired yarn length, corresponding to the spacing between the spinning device (2) and the sensor mechanism (26), is detected. The deviation is compared with a preadjustable limit value of the permissible deviation. If the limit value is passed, this indicates intolerable wear of the pressure roller (14) and produces a signal.

  • Publication number: 20100071341
Abstract: A method for piecing a yarn at a rotor spinning machine comprising plural spinning stations, wherein more than five piecers are successively produced in a measuring phase and coordinates of measurement values and associated measurement values from individual measurements of the piecers are evaluated for averaging and determining a fiber band function taking into account a drafting reduced for the measurement values, which reflects the fiber flow behaviour in the form of the respective fiber band quantity supplied to the rotor as a function of the transport path of the fiber band feed. The speed of the fiber band feed is controlled in a delayed manner from the run-up of the yarn draw-off, dependent on the rotor speed, by the fiber band function, such that the fiber shortfall quantity being produced from the fiber band function is compensated by dynamic feed addition with respect to height and length.
