  • Patent number: 5802834
Abstract: In a method for threading yarns of two supply bobbins positioned coaxially one atop the other in a two-for-one twisting spindle through at two-part hollow spindle axle and a yarn guide channel of a yarn storage disk with a compressed-air operated injection threading device, a first supply bobbin is inserted into a two-for-one twisting spindle. A free yarn end of a second supply bobbin is threaded from above through a yarn guide tube of the second supply bobbin. The free yarn end of the second supply bobbin and the free yarn end of the first supply bobbin are combined and guided into an inlet of a yarn guide tube of the first supply bobbin. The compressed-air operated threading device is actuated and the second supply bobbin is then inserted into the two-for-one twisting spindle on top of the first supply bobbin.

  • Patent number: 5638669
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a twisted yarn includes the step of removing two rovings from two separate supplies and passing each roving through a separate drawing device. From each roving a separate spun yarn is produced by ring-spinning. Each spun yarn is collected in the form of a bobbin on a yarn carrier of separate hollow spindles, wherein the separate hollow spindles are positioned atop one another. With formation of a yarn balloon the spun yarn is withdrawn from the bobbins and guided through the hollow spindle axle of the respective hollow spindle. The spun yarn withdrawn from the upper one of the hollow spindles is guided through the hollow spindle axle of the lower one of the hollow spindles. Both spun yarns are then guided together to a winding device positioned below the lower one of the hollow spindles. The hollow spindles are rotated as a function of the winding speed of the winding device such that a twist of the spun fibers is at least partially canceled.

  • Patent number: 5632140
Abstract: In a method for manufacturing a twisted yarn a spindle rotor is positioned in a stationary cylinder housing. At least two spinning devices are supported in a receiving chamber of the spindle rotor such that the spinning devices are located adjacent to one another and symmetrical to the central axis of the spindle rotor. A vacuum is generated within the receiving chamber. Dissolved fiber material is supplied from a fiber supply device to the hollow spindle axle of the spindle rotor. The individual fiber material is fed by the vacuum within the receiving chamber via the hollow spindle axle 6 of the spindle rotor 7 and via feed channels, connecting the hollow spindle axle to the spinning rotors, to the spinning devices. From the dissolved fiber materials spun yarns are spun in each one of the spinning devices. The spun yarns are gathered as a twisted yarn at a centering point positioned on the extension of the central axis of the spindle rotor. The twisted yarn is wound onto a spool.

  • Patent number: 5628177
Abstract: In a method for manufacturing a twisted yarn by an integrated spinning-twisting process a vacuum is generated within the spindle rotor. Individual staple fibers are fed by vacuum to at least two rotor spinning devices positioned within the spindle rotor in which individual spun yarns are spun from the individual staple fibers. The individual spun yarns are gathered and guided in a first direction through the spindle rotor in order to subject the individual spun yarns to a first twist. The twisted yarn is guided in a second direction counter to the first direction to a centering element positioned above the rotor spinning devices whereby the twisted yarn forms a rotating yarn balloon about the spindle rotor. The twisted yarn is then wound onto a bobbin.

  • Patent number: 5626011
Abstract: In a method for joining a thread a spindle rotor with hollow spindle shaft is rotatably supported on a machine frame. A radially outwardly extending yarn guide channel is connected to the hollow spindle shaft. Two spinning devices with upwardly open spinning rotors are supported above the spindle rotor symmetrical to the central axis of the spindle rotor. A centering point is positioned on an extension of the central axis of the spindle rotor. A spun yarn is spun in each spinning device from dissolved fiber material and led upwardly away from the spinning rotors, reversed in their direction of movement by 180.degree., and introduced into the hollow spindle axle. The spun yarns form a yarn balloon between the yarn guide channel and the centering point, and twisted yarn is removed from the centering point. The dissolved fiber material is fed to the spinning devices through the yarn balloon.

  • Patent number: 5509263
Abstract: In a method and device for manufacturing a twisted yarn a spindle rotor having a hollow spindle axle with inlet and outlet and a yarn guide channel extending radially outwardly from the outlet is provided. The yarn exiting the yarn guide channel forms a yarn balloon. A stream of dissolved fiber material is fed axially through the spindle rotor into the space delimited by the yarn balloon and is divided into two partial streams. Each partial stream is guided first radially outwardly, then upwardly substantially parallel to the hollow spindle axle to a predetermined level, and subsequently radially inwardly to a respective spinning device arranged within the space delimited by the yarn balloon. A fiber is spun in each of the spinning devices, withdrawn, and guided axially downwardly. The fibers together are fed into the inlet of the hollow spindle axle to form a yarn. The yarn is guided through the hollow spindle axle and the yarn guide channel from where it exits and forms the yarn balloon.

  • Patent number: 5499496
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a twisted yarn a rotor is rotatably supported on a machine frame. A yarn guide channel extends radially within the rotor over at least a portion of its diameter. A centering eye for the twisted yarn is positioned on the extension of the rotor axis. A yarn guide tube is arranged so as to guide a yarn exiting from the yarn guide channel to the centering eye. A spinning device is rotatably supported on the rotor eccentrically relative to the rotor axis. A fiber strand is dissolved into dissolved fiber material and fed axially through the rotor and upwardly toward the spinning device where at least two spun fibers are produced. The spun fibers are downwardly guided toward the yarn guide channel so as to form a plied yarn.
