  • Patent number: 11179750
Abstract: For tamping a track, tamping tines are squeezed towards one another in pairs by a squeezing cylinder. A vibration is superimposed on a linear lift motion of a squeezing piston movable in the squeezing cylinder. The vibration is generated by a vibration piston which is arranged in the squeezing cylinder and which is movable independently of the squeezing piston.

  • Patent number: 11174598
Abstract: A method for the correction of vertical position error of a track by a track tamping machine and a dynamic track stabilizer. Starting from a registered actual position, an over-lift value is prescribed for a treated track location with which the track is lifted into a preliminary over-lift track position and tamped. The track is subsequently lowered by dynamic stabilization into a resulting final track position. In this, a smoothed actual position course is formed from a course of the actual track position, wherein an over-lift value is prescribed for the treated track location in dependence of the course of the actual track position with regard to the smoothed actual position course. In this way, only short-wave track faults are treated with an over-lift value.

  • Publication number: 20210347394
Abstract: The invention relates to a measuring arrangement for monitoring a railway track having rails fastened to sleepers, wherein a fibre optic cable is connected to a measuring device in order to detect a strain acting on a rail. In this, the fibre optic cable is clamped in a detachable manner into at least one rail fastening. In this way, a strain transmitted from the rail via the rail fastening to the sleeper acts directly on the fibre optic cable.

  • Patent number: 10914041
Abstract: The invention relates to a machine (1) having a machine frame (2), mobile by means of on-track undercarriages (3) on rails (4) of a track grid (5), and a stabilizing unit (8) which comprises a vibration exciter (15) for generating horizontal vibrations extending transversely to the longitudinal direction of the machine and flanged rollers (10) designed to roll on the rails (4). In this, a camera (11) is mounted on the machine frame (2) for recording a section of the track grid (5) set in vibrations, wherein the camera (11) is connected to an evaluation device (16) in order to derive from the recorded image data a resulting deflection (sr) of the track grid (5). In this manner, the amplitude (ar) of the sleeper deflection can be recorded, which is a measure of the actually effective vibration for stabilizing the track.

  • Patent number: 10914040
Abstract: Ballast (3) located underneath of sleepers of a track is compacted by immersion and squeezing of compacting tools (7) set in vibrations. The vibrations introduced into the ballast (3) during the compacting process are registered as a measure of the ballast compaction. • Patent number: 10829897
Abstract: A tamping machine for tamping a track has a lifting-lining unit, connected to lifting and lining drives, for shifting the track into a target position. A vibration generator, which can be set to vibrate, is disposed on the lifting-lining unit. It is thereby possible to tamp a track section in a first working pass and to lower it in a controlled way in an immediately following second working pass with constant impact of vertical load and vibration. Thereafter, the track can be traveled upon with normal speed entirely unhindered.

  • Patent number: 10808362
Abstract: A tamping unit for tamping a track has tamping tines which are designed for immersion into a ballast bed and which can be set in vibrations by a vibration drive. The vibration drive includes a housing in which a shaft including an eccentric is arranged for rotation about a shaft axis. A transmission element for transmitting a vibratory motion is mounted on the eccentric. The eccentric is connected to the shaft in a rotation-locked and radially displaceable manner, wherein the position of the eccentric relative to the shaft is adjustable in radial direction by an adjustment device. Thus, while retaining the advantages of an eccentric drive, it is possible to adjust vibration parameters during operation.

  • Patent number: 10619313
Abstract: A method for determining vertical and lateral position faults of a track employs a track position measuring system having a common reference base formed of a single measuring chord disposed centrally between the rails and extending in the longitudinal direction of the machine. Two sensors are disposed on a central track position measuring unit for determining a longitudinal height and for determining a versine. The sensors each contact the measuring chord. Each track position measuring unit has two laser scanners, which are associated with respective rails, for scanning in a y-axis extending normal to a longitudinal direction of the rails and in a z-axis extending in a vertical direction. A track maintenance machine for carrying out track position corrections is also provided. Thus, a simplification of the track position measuring system with increased accuracy can be achieved.
