Abstract: A manually actuated pump sprayer adapted to be mounted on a container of liquid to be sprayed upon pump actuation is provided, and includes a plunger head having a side wall containing a discharge orifice. The plunger head may be reciprocable relative to the pump sprayer. An overcap may be independently rotatably disposed on the plunger head, and include a side wall overlying the discharge orifice in a condition of non-use. The side wall may include an opening disposable in alignment with the discharge orifice upon rotation of the overcap relative to the plunger head. A container closure may be provided for affixing the plunger head and the overcap relative to the container. The plunger head may be axially reciprocable relative to the container closure and may otherwise be locked relative to the container closure when in first and second orientations.
Abstract: A trigger actuated liquid sprayer, including a pump body, a discharge nozzle mounted on a forward end of the body for manual rotation about a central axis thereof between discharge open and closed positions, and a trigger lever movably mounted to the body for operating a pumping mechanism upon actuation thereof. A trigger cover may be mounted on the sprayer and overlie a front face of the trigger lever in a first position for immobilizing trigger lever actuation. The trigger cover may be rotatable to a second position from the first position for exposing the front face for facilitating a grasp of the trigger lever for manual actuation thereof for operating the pumping mechanism. The trigger cover may be latched with the trigger lever in the first position to prevent rotation of the trigger cover from the first position to thereby render the sprayer child-resistant.
Abstract: A trigger actuated fluid dispenser for simultaneously dispensing disparate fluids separately stored in separate fluid compartments of a container includes a mixing manifold for intimately mixing the fluids together and the nozzle assembly in which the mixture is channeled into a pair of spray nozzles through which the mixture of fluids issue as it sprays, upon simultaneous pumping of the disparate fluids by a single trigger actuator directing the disparate fluids along separate discharge paths to the mixing manifold.
Abstract: An applicator is adapted to be mounted on a hollow piston stem of a manually reciprocable pump dispenser for applying a cleaning liquid to a fibrous article such as fabric, rug or carpet or the like from a container of liquid to which the dispenser is mounted. The applicator has a domed outer convex rigid wall with at least one discharge port in communication with the discharge passage of the piston stem, and an outer surface of the domed wall is textured for rubbing the cleaning liquid into the fibers article during a cleaning operation. An overcap is connected to a side wall of the applicator by a hinge permitting the overcap to cover the outer surface of the domed wall when not in use. And, a container closure may be provided in telescoping relationship to the applicator which is rotatable about its central axis between lock and unlock positions.
Abstract: A dual sprayer has an externally mounted mixing manifold for intimately commingling disparate liquids sprayed during pumping and issuing through a nozzle as a complete admixture of dual liquids.
Abstract: A flexible dip tube for a hand held sprayer has a filter element with a projection extending into the distal end of the dib tube for frictionally mounting the filter element thereto, the other end of the filter element extending beyond the distal end and containing filter material in communication with the interior of the tube, and a weight surrounding both the distal end and the projection of the filter element or weighting down the distal end during use.
Abstract: A low-cost, in-line trigger actuated pump sprayer has a pump body which may have an integral container closure and/or integral shroud cover with a trigger lever trunnion mounted to the pump body or with a trigger lever assembly mounted to the pump body as including a living hinge. A hollow pump piston defines a discharge passage lying perpendicular to the central axis of the closure, and an elastomeric element may be provided with functions as a piston return spring, inlet check valve and discharge check valve.
Abstract: A battery operated sprayer has an elongated handle for gripping by the operator for actuating the sprayer and for supporting the container to which the sprayer is attached, a removable battery pack forms a removable portion of the handle which solely supports a plurality of batteries which may be recharged or replaced by the operator.
