Patent number: 6631888Abstract: A fragrance dispenser includes a container for holding and exposing a fragrance material, and a housing defined by at least one elongated shell and a cap including an elongated slider. Each elongated shell is slideably engageable with the elongated slider. The housing includes an air discharge opening on the cap, and a power source mounted therein for providing power to a motor, which is operably connected to drive a fan. The fan is operable to increase flow of air over the fragrance material, to dispense fragrance from within the housing, through the air discharge opening, to an exterior of the housing. When the at least one elongated shell is engaged to the cap, the power source supplies power to the motor to drive the fan, and when the at least one elongated shell is disengaged from the cap, power from the power source to the motor is discontinued.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2002Date of Patent: October 14, 2003Assignee: Saint-Gobain Calmar Inc.Inventor: David M. Prueter

Patent number: 6474508Abstract: The cap of a unit dose tube and cap assembly has a dished shape outer wall defining a receptacle for liquid to be topically applied to the body. A groove is formed in the outer wall for snap-fitting engagement with a retention bead on the neck portion of the flexible walled tube for mounted the cap over a rupturable membrane which seals the discharge passage formed by the neck portion. The cap has a coaxial hollow spike and an annular groove in its outer wall likewise for snap-fitting engagement with the retention bead of the container neck portion in a position of use of the assembly. In such position the hollow spike ruptures the thin membrane wall and its passageway establishes communication between to the interior of the tube and the receptacle formed in the cap. An annular bead on the outer periphery of the receptacle aids in spreading the topical application.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2002Date of Patent: November 5, 2002Assignee: Saint-Gobain Calmar Inc.Inventor: Timothy R.
