  • Patent number: 6729500
Abstract: A fluid pump dispenser includes a spring biased pump piston having a generally hollow stem and reciprocable between pressure and return strokes within a pump cylinder therewith defining a variable volume pump chamber for dispensing fluid through a discharge opening at an outer end of the stem. The stem defines a valve controlled discharge passage leading from the pump chamber to the discharge opening. A driver nut may be mounted adjacent the pump piston and include at least one flange engaged with at least one respective spiral turn on a spindle disposed within the pump chamber to thereby rotate the spindle during reciprocation of the pump piston. A dip tube may be disposable within a container and affixed to the spindle for rotation with the spindle. A figurine may be mounted onto the dip tube for complementary rotation with the dip tube and the spindle.

  • Patent number: 6631888
Abstract: A fragrance dispenser includes a container for holding and exposing a fragrance material, and a housing defined by at least one elongated shell and a cap including an elongated slider. Each elongated shell is slideably engageable with the elongated slider. The housing includes an air discharge opening on the cap, and a power source mounted therein for providing power to a motor, which is operably connected to drive a fan. The fan is operable to increase flow of air over the fragrance material, to dispense fragrance from within the housing, through the air discharge opening, to an exterior of the housing. When the at least one elongated shell is engaged to the cap, the power source supplies power to the motor to drive the fan, and when the at least one elongated shell is disengaged from the cap, power from the power source to the motor is discontinued.

  • Patent number: 6591832
Abstract: A dry powder dispenser has a base member which supports a blister pack of rupturable pillows each containing measured quantities of dry powder to be dispensed. A pillow aligning with the discharge opening and the base member which likewise has a discharge passage in communication therewith for the discharge of the dry powder as the pillow is ruptured by a hinged lever which displaces the entire contents of the dry powder from its pillow chamber into the discharge passage, the lever sequentially activating an air piston for flow feeding a quantity of pressurized air along the discharge passage to expel the dry powder under air pressure.

  • Patent number: 6554319
Abstract: The dispensing system for a remote operation includes a trigger sprayer assembly removably mounted to a container of liquid to be sprayed, the assembly being mounted within a cutout section provided at the upper end of the container as part of a through opening forming the carrying handle of the container. The trigger sprayer assembly has a flexible delivery tube which may be coiled and stored within a hollow gripper handle provided on the trigger sprayer, and may extend outwardly from the gripper handle to function as a resilient element for mounting the trigger sprayer in place. A one-piece adaptor is non-removably connected to a distal end of the delivery tube and connects to the container by mounting directly to an external dip tube of the container or by mounting in a closure cap of the container.

  • Patent number: 6543649
Abstract: A liquid pump dispenser with a discharge spout is rendered child-resistant by the provision of a hollow sleeve surrounding the pump body and engaging an upper wall of the closure cap with at least one lip at an upper end of the sleeve engaging an underside of the plunger head to immobilize the head against actuation. The sleeve is removed prior to dispensing as the lip is pulled or forced away from the head permitting upward movement of the sleeve in a direction rotatable about the head as the spout extends through a cutout in the sleeve whereafter the sleeve is slid along the spout and completely removed.

  • Patent number: 6474508
Abstract: The cap of a unit dose tube and cap assembly has a dished shape outer wall defining a receptacle for liquid to be topically applied to the body. A groove is formed in the outer wall for snap-fitting engagement with a retention bead on the neck portion of the flexible walled tube for mounted the cap over a rupturable membrane which seals the discharge passage formed by the neck portion. The cap has a coaxial hollow spike and an annular groove in its outer wall likewise for snap-fitting engagement with the retention bead of the container neck portion in a position of use of the assembly. In such position the hollow spike ruptures the thin membrane wall and its passageway establishes communication between to the interior of the tube and the receptacle formed in the cap. An annular bead on the outer periphery of the receptacle aids in spreading the topical application.
