Abstract: A system for preparing a beverage suitable for consumption, for instance coffee and/or tea, is disclosed. The system comprises an apparatus for dispensing beverage under pressure to a nozzle of the system, and at least one receiving chamber which is placeable or is placed downstream of this nozzle. During use, the nozzle spouts a jet of the beverage with relatively high velocity to and/or into the receiving chamber. The receiving chamber is provided with at least one outflow opening for dispensing beverage received in this chamber. The system is at least configured to substantially counteract or prevent formation of foam of this beverage, in particular when the beverage is spouted to and/or into the receiving chamber. Further disclosed is an assembly at least provided with a holder, to a holder, a receiving body, the use of a said system and to a method for preparing a beverage suitable for consumption.

Abstract: The invention relates to an assembly for preparing a beverage suitable for consumption. To that end, the assembly (1) is provided with at least a first covering (2) and a first ingredient (4) included in the at least first covering, the first ingredient comprising a substance such as milk powder/creamer, sugar and like additives soluble or extractable in a liquid such as water. The assembly is further provided with a second ingredient (14), the second ingredient comprising a soluble or extractable substance such as ground coffee or tea while the second ingredient forms part of a substantially rigid body (16).

Abstract: An apparatus for preparing a beverage fit for consumption with a fine-bubble froth layer, such as coffee or cappuccino, provided with a beverage unit for dispensing a beverage under pressure, at least one nozzle to which the beverage is fed under pressure to generate a jet of the beverage, a buffer reservoir for collecting the jet of the beverage so that, in use, a liquid level of the beverage is created in the buffer reservoir into which the jet squirts to obtain the fine-bubble froth layer and an outlet path for discharging the beverage with the fine-bubble froth layer from the buffer reservoir, wherein the outlet path is provided with at least one siphon which comes into action for discharging the beverage from the buffer reservoir via the siphon when the liquid level in the siphon exceeds a predetermined height.

Abstract: A device for treating a surface, in particular a textile surface or a leather surface, such as, for instance, the upper surface of leather shoes, with a liquid substance, comprises a holder with a reservoir for this substance and with a sponge-like body via which the substance absorbed from the reservoir can be spread on the surface. Between the reservoir and the sponge-like body there is at least one receiving chamber having an inflow opening communicating with the reservoir. This inflow opening is closed in the condition of rest and can be opened at a movement of the sponge-like body with respect to a plane with which this body is contacted. From the receiving chamber the substance is absorbed by the sponge-like body with delay.

Abstract: A device for introducing active substances, such as aromatic substances, insecticides and the like, into ambient air, comprises a holder for a carrier with a wick impressed thereon, which carrier can be placed in the holder and is replaceable. A mechanism to be operated by hand is provided for operating an ignition element, which can be placed in the holder and is replaceable, as for instance a gas lighter, to enable a wick to be ignited when a carrier with this wick has been placed in the holder.

Abstract: The assembly for use in a coffee machine comprises a container having a bowl-shaped inner space bounded by a bottom having at least one outlet opening and at least one vertical sidewall. The assembly further comprises a pill-shaped pouch manufactured from filtering paper and filled with ground coffee, accommodated in the inner space of the container. The pouch extends over the bottom to a position adjacent the vertical sidewall. In the bottom, a number of channel-shaped grooves are provided, extending in radial direction of the container to the outlet opening. The grooves extend from a position located at a distance from the sidewall in the direction of the outlet opening. This prevents bypass.

Abstract: An antiperspirant system which includes a water-based antiperspirant which feels comfortable on the skin and a capillary aerosol dispenser is disclosed. The antiperspirant system includes: a pressurized container (51) in which a water-based antiperspirant composition with one or more astringent active salts and a propellant are present, a valved outlet (41) on the surface of the container through which antiperspirant is ejected into an inlet port (111) of a capillary tube (11), a capillary tube (11) with one inlet port (111) and one exit port through which antiperspirant is dispensed from the system, and a coupling means (12) to closely couple the inlet port of the capillary tube (11) to the valved outlet (41) of the pressurized container (51). The void volume between the inlet port and the valved outlet is minimized, such that upon use of the antiperspirant system, the valved outlet, the capillary tube, and the void volume do not become obstructed by solid deposits of the astringent active salt.
