Abstract: A reclosable bag for filling with at least one food product. The reclosable bag generally includes at least one sheet of web material having at least two areas of structural weakness. At least one fold structure is located between and defined by the two areas of structural weakness. An opening is located generally opposite the fold structure. The reclosable bag further includes a reclosable fastener structure having an integral skirt structure of skirt web material extending therefrom. The integral skirt structure includes a distal margin. The distal margin is coupled to the web material at, at least one location between the areas of structural weakness and the opening. The reclosable fastener structure extends past the areas of structural weakness and into the fold structure. The reclosable bag capable of being filled with at least one food product through the opening.

Abstract: A cheese product, suitable for use as a cheese snack and/or food topping includes packaging in which moist cheese components of the snack or topping are separately sealed within a secondary package, prior to both the moist cheese and dry components of the snack or topping being sealed within a common primary container. At the time of use, a consumer opens both the primary container and the secondary package, and mixes the moist and dry components within the primary container. Following mixing, the resultant mixture of moist and dry components may be consumed directly from the primary container, or be poured out of or otherwise removed from the primary container for use as a food topping on foods such as salads, pizza, or baked potatoes. The secondary package is formed from a material and sealed in a manner that effectively precludes moisture migration between the moist and dry products during storage of the unmixed snack or topping, to thereby provide a longer shelf life.

Abstract: An auto-centering apparatus and method of auto-centering and dividing a cheese loaf into equal cheese portions is disclosed wherein the cheese loaf is loaded on to a bottom conveyor that centers the cheese along the cutting harp centerline and equally divides the cheese loaf to provide substantially equally sized cheese portions.
Abstract: A cheese slice product and a method of making such a cheese slice product are disclosed wherein the cheese slice product contains an array of relatively smaller pieces which are linked together by one or more unslit connecting segments, with the method being directed to incising a standard cheese loaf and subsequently slicing the incised cheese slice loaf into such an array of smaller pieces. Incision patterns are applied to a typical cheese loaf prior to the loaf entering the slicer and line conveying systems. After slicing the incised cheese loaf, an unslit portion in each slice holds the multiple segments in the slice in the dimensional shape of the cross section of the loaf.

Abstract: A product support bar display device is disclosed for supporting packaged products from a display bar which may be removed to allow new packaged products to be installed thereupon behind older packaged products previously located thereupon without first requiring the removal of the older packaged products from the display bar. The display bar is supported by and removably mounted on a display bar carriage, which itself is moveably mounted on a pair of support bars which extend from the rear of a display case or area forwardly. The display carriage may be moved from a first display position near the proximal ends of the support bars to a second service position near the distal ends of the support bars to facilitate the removal of the display bar to allow additional packaged products to be installed on the display bar from the rear so that the new packaged products will be behind older packaged products remaining on the display bar.
