Abstract: Printing wires are able to be changed over from one to another by the movement of a printing head alone, thereby eliminating the need for a solenoid and simplifying the arrangement. The printing quality is improved by uniformly guiding the printing wires with the entire circumference of each guide hole, and further the amount of torsion of the printing wires caused by changeover of the printing wire arrangements is equalized, thereby stabilizing the printing characteristics and eliminating the difference in the printing characteristics between the parallel and staggered arrangements and also improving the durability. A first front guide is secured to a nose portion of a head frame. A front guide supporting frame, which supports a second front guide, is provided on the nose portion of the head frame so that the frame is movable in the direction of alignment of the printing wires. The printing wires are guided by the second front guide and the first front guide.
Abstract: A data input-output device for a camera comprises a data input interface having first and second switches for generating input data, first and second flip-flops for latching input data generated by opening and closing the first and second switches, a data converting circuit for converting the input data generated by opening and closing the first and second switches to digital data by a combination of the input data generated by opening and closing the first and second switches and of output data of the first and second flip-flops, a plurality of AND circuits in which the digital data converted by the data converting circuit is inputted, and a data output interface for outputting a plurality of digital data from AND logic obtained by the plurality of AND circuits. The device has the advantages of enabling a reduction in the number of terminals when manufactured as an IC, simplifies the pattern of a printed circuit board due to its simple random logic, and permits the mounting of the elements in high density.
Abstract: When a time card is inserted in a time recorder, for daily flextime, and selection is made of a work starting time column using a printing column selection key, the current time is printed onto a specific location of the work starting time column of the card. The printer time may be a work starting time rounded off in any desired manner. The standard number of work hours is stored in a memory circuit and any break times are added to the standard number to obtain an anticipated work ending time. The anticipated work ending time is displayed on a display unit and/or printed on the card.
Abstract: Method of processing a photosensitive glass used in the head of an ink jet printer, including the steps of exposing the glass by a XeCl excimer laser to write a desired pattern into the front surface of the glass, with the laser emitting plural pulses to the glass and the energy of each laser pulse being 1 to 50 mJ/cm.sup.2 such that the exposed portions which will become crystallized portions do not extend through the thickness of the glass; thermally developing the exposed portions to crystallize the exposed portions; and etching away the crystallized portions so that grooves are formed in the glass according to the exposing pattern.
