  • Patent number: 5070934
Abstract: Ventilation device for the simultaneous ventilating and exhausting an enclosed room having the capacity for the recovery of heat from the exhaust media current. The exhaust media current is given a longer flow path than the ventilation media current; particularly the flow path of the exhaust media current at the exit side of the heat exchanger has a flow deflection which includes an arc measure of more than 90.degree. degrees and preferably of about 150.degree.. Further, the flow paths of both the exhaust and the ventilation media current extend from their inlets to at least the heat exchanger in an ascending direction.

  • Patent number: 5042554
Abstract: A support and/or guide roller device for folding, sliding panels which consists of support pedestal (29) resting on the front side of panel (5) for one of the ends of the vertical axle bolt (23), whose other end is supported in a running carriage (21) for support rollers (22) or guide rollers. The distance between support pedestal (29) and running carriage (21) of support rollers (22) or the distance of the guide roller from this may be adjusted and fixed in the longitudinal direction of axial bolt (23). So that the support and/or guide roller device can be adapted to different thickness measurements of the panel cross-sections, axle bolt (23) sits on a bracket arm (26), with which support pedestal (29) can be displaced in a limiting manner essentially crosswise to the panel plane and can be set in a fixed manner in any chosen position (43-46 and 51.

  • Patent number: 4945702
Abstract: A 3-dimensional locking cover rail corner connection between two component part of a connecting rod fitting which are mounted substantially at a right angle to one another at the closure member or the frame of a window or a door. The longitudinal edges of the cover rail portions of the component parts are braceable against the groove steps of a connecting rod groove in the closure member or frame of the window or door and are fixed within the groove by screws which extend transverse to the planes of the component parts and penetrate into the bottom of the groove. One of the cover rails has a supporting stop which projects inwardly at a right angle from the rail and a pocket beneath the stop having a spacing which corresponds to the thickness of the other cover rail. A bracket as fixed to the inner side of the one cover rail. • Patent number: 4921285
Abstract: A connecting rod gearing for windows, doors, etc. having two oppositely shiftable connecting rods under a cover rail. The rotational plane for the toothed rim of a pinion and the plane of motion of the engagement toothings which mesh therewith on two thrust links lie in the cross-sectional area of the housing usually occupied by the cover rail so that the crown (addendum) circle diameter of the pinion can correspond to the complete cross-sectional width of the cover rail. This large pinion diameter results in correspondingly large adjustment differences for the two oppositely shiftable thrust links for a given angle of rotation of the pinion.

  • Patent number: 4907908
Abstract: A longitudinally adjustable rod coupling 1, especially for connecting rod fittings for windows, doors, or the like, in which one connecting rod has a U-shaped coupling shoe with fine teeth at the insides of its legs. The other connecting rod is equipped on two narrow sides with a complementary fine teeth which can engage in the fine teeth of the shoe. The cross-section of the connecting rod is reduced in thickness in the region of the coupling shoe and correspondingly enlarged in width. The fine teeth have their profiles extending transversely over the total width of the portion of the connecting rod, section that is reduced in thickness. The lateral wings of the said connecting rod section that is reduced in thickness, which wings project beyond the width of the normal connecting rod cross-section, are bent approximately 90.degree. to the plane of the connecting rods and form the legs of the coupling shoe.

  • Patent number: 4837998
Abstract: A cover rail corner connection for connecting rod fittings is given a construction which ensures the three dimensional unity of two fitting components extending approximately at right angle to one another during the carrying out of the impact operations at the wing or frame of a window. A double hook 21 having an approximately C-shaped cross sectional configuration at the end of the one cover rail 5 carries a projection (31) for this purpose at each of the mutually facing ends of its side flanks 27, each projection facing away from the cover rail 5 which carries it. The edge of each projection 31 facing the limit tang 28 of the double hook 21 has a spacing from the limit tank 28 which corresponds to the thickness of the other cover rail, which carries an approximately T-shaped double hook 20. The projections 31 form effective stops in opposition to the limit tang 28 which supportingly undercut the end of the cover rail 4 carrying the approximately T-shaped double hook 20 at its transverse edges 24.

  • Patent number: 4829710
Abstract: A disengaging device which is constructionally simple and operationally reliable for a wing of a window, door or the like which is required to take up a configuration parallel and disengaged from a stationary frame in order to be slidable horizontally for opening and closing. The wing is connected to the frame with upper and lower swingout arms in pairs. The lower swingout arms are each pivotally mounted at the lower transverse wing bar at one end and to a traveling carriage at the other end. A releasable blocking device is provided for the lower swing out arms which is activated when they are in the disengaged and stable parallel position. The blocking device is activated through a control arm associated with the lower traveling carriages. The control arm can be brought into and out of operative connection with a thrust bearing located on the stationary frame. The control arm is mounted on the traveling carriage and limited to basically horizontal planar motion in a limitedly swivelable manner.

  • Patent number: 4802307
Abstract: Tilt-slide mechanism for moving a wing of a window or door to a parallel stop position and in this position for shifting it horizontally. The mechanism has lower and upper shift arms, wherein the lower arms 10 are in each case pivotally mounted (on the one hand) on the lower transverse wing beam and (on the other hand) on a traveling carriage. A releasable blocking device is provided for the lower shift arms when they are located in the parallel position. The blocking device consists of a two-armed hinged supporting lever and a guide pivot pin; its lower arm is shiftable along a guide slot on the wing. The guide pivot pin of the supporting lever combines with a detent recess to join the guide slot on the wing to the blocking device for fixing the lower shift arm relative to the wing in the parallel stop position.

  • Patent number: 4794730
Abstract: Hardware for a door or window, in which the closure can be moved out of the opening in the stationary frame to another position parallel to the said opening and then moved horizontally to a position that is non-coextensive with the opening. Upper and lower swing arms are provided, each connecting the closure to a traveling carriage. • Patent number: 4637165
Abstract: An assembly for the transfer of operating movement around the corner of a window or door, particularly tilt/turn closures, involves an angled casing, guiding a flexible deflection member, which connects the operating rods of the closure. An intermediary connecting member between the flexible deflection member and an operating rod forms a slide bolt, preferably a tilt-lock locking-slide, which is stiffened by a longitudinal batten. The batten fits in a slot on one leg of the angled casing. The sliding bolt engages the flexible member by means of a cam-and-recess. The batten stabilizes the flexible member when it is under compression. The assembly and the sliding bolt are shaped to allow insertion in grooves in the profiles which form the closure frame. A clamping piece holds one of the legs in the frame. Elements of the assembly assist in dispersing transverse forces which can cause binding.
