Abstract: A ventilation appliance for rooms having a box-like housing which can be used either as a ventilator with a radial fan or a pressure differential ventilator without such a fan. The configuration of the applicance insures a good sound damping action even when only short flow path are available in the housing or when, for functional reasons, the housing cannot be lined with sound damping material. For this purpose and enveloping spiral 21 for the blower wheel of the radial fan is formed directly from a block-like insert body of sound damping material such a plastic foam or foam rubber, the enveloping spiral having formed thereon an approximately tangential and/or radially connecting air connecting conduit. A replaceable filter for such a ventilation device is disclosed. A possible explanation is indicated for an unexpectedly effective mixing of entering air with room air upon installation of such a ventilating appliance.

Abstract: A latching mechanism for a window or door closure hingedly mounted on a fixed frame comprising a control cam and catch fixed to the hinged side of the frame, a driving rod slidably mounted on the closure, a dog mounted on one end of the driving rod for latchingly engaging the catch, and a cam follow mechanism connected to the opposite side of the driving rod for engaging the control cam so that the dog is moved by the driving rod in latching alignment with the catch when the closure is moved to the closed position relative to the frame.

Abstract: Ventilating device for rooms having air passage apertures and closure means movable by an electric drive between an open position and a closed position, a noxious gas sensor and electrical control means responsive to the gas sensor for operating the electric drive so that the closure means is moved to the open position when the gas sensor senses noxious gas concentration in the room above a predetermined level.

Abstract: Latch lock hardware for a window having a latch-lug that is insertable into a latch pocket in the casing for tilting purposes. The latch lock hardware comprises a pair of vertically-spaced cams located on the casing above the latch-pocket and a pair of vertically-spaced elements mounted on the window. The upper element is located beneath the upper cam to prevent removal of the window for a small tilting angle of the window and the lower element is located beneath the lower cam to prevent removal of the window for a relatively larger tilting angle of the window.

Abstract: Latch hardware including drive rod fittings in which at least two profile grooves are undercut at an angle to one another within the frame shanks and drive rods are positioned, guided, and coupled to a corner guide. The profile grooves within the frame shanks are arranged stepwise and are of a depth which is larger than the thickness of the drive rods. In addition, the angled housing for the corner guide has at least one shank which is pushed on safety sleeves on molded edge stems in which may also be fixedly positioned parts which serve to guide the driving rod.

Abstract: Baffle formed with a plurality of molded elastomeric plates within a housing for lining the interior of sound-absorbing ventilators, each plate having a central aperture and grooves in the broad sides of the plates which extend from the aperture to the edge of the plate; the apertures form a channel when the plates are stacked within the housing and the grooves form canals from the channel to the outside of the stacked plates.

Abstract: Window hardware for driving a latch rod, especially for insertion in the edge of casement windows, doors, etc., wherein the back side is fastened on a track, consisting of a drive housing having two housing parts in which is positioned a turnable member which can have the shape of a pinion, the turnable member engaging the latch rod fitting which extends through a guide canal in the drive housing and is guided and movable longitudinally on the inverted track.
