Abstract: A flashlight assembly with an electromechanical switch assembly and internal sealed subframe, and methods of assembling and operating same, are disclosed.
Abstract: The present application discloses flashlight assemblies and methods of assembling and operating same. The flashlight assembly includes a light source, a power source, a switch assembly for electrically coupling the light source to the power source, and a body enclosing an internal sealed subframe configured to receive the power source. The subframe includes a sealed opening that is fluid-impermeable.
Abstract: The flashlight assembly includes a light source, a power source, a switch assembly for electrically coupling the light source to the power source, a subframe defining an interior volume configured to receive the power source, and a body enclosing the subframe. The subframe includes an opening and a seal to close the opening and render it fluid-impermeable.

Abstract: A control circuit for a light source comprises: a light source, a drive circuit applying a pulse width modulated (PWM) drive signal to the light source; and a pulse width modulator generating the PWM drive signal having a PWM ON time ratio responsive to a control signal and a PWM drive frequency that varies over a range of frequencies repeatedly and substantially continuously. A method for controlling a light source comprises: applying a pulse width modulated (PWM) drive signal to the light source; generating the PWM drive signal having a PWM ON time ratio responsive to a control signal and having a PWM drive frequency that is varied over the range of frequencies repeatedly and substantially continuously. The PWM drive signal causes the light source to produce light at the varying frequency, whereby light at a frequency exhibited by a moving object does not continuously illuminate a moving object.
Abstract: A switch for a light may comprise: an electrical switch actuatable in a direction transverse to the electrical switch; a switch actuator including: a plunger adjacent the electrical switch movable pivotably for actuating and de-actuating the electrical switch. A flexible boot may move the plunger toward the electrical switch when the flexible boot is pressed. The electrical switch is actuated when the flexible boot is pressed toward the electrical switch or at an angle therebetween. The switch may be adjacent a reference plane surface in a light body of the light.
Abstract: A flashlight including a light source, a power source, at least one push button electrically coupled to the light source and power source, and a rotatable switch assembly comprising a wheel, a cam fixed to the wheel, and a spring, wherein rotation of the wheel to different positions causes the cam to interact with the spring such that the at least one push button is selectively depressed, resulting in adjustment of the light source between different states of operation.
Abstract: A portable light may comprise: a light body for receiving a source of electrical power; a light source for producing light when energized; and a switch assembly for selectively coupling the source of electrical power with said light source for energizing the light source to produce light. The portable light may have a light head and a pivot assembly including a pivotable joint for pivoting the light head towards and away from the light body and a rotatable joint for rotating the light head relative to the light body; and/or may have a handle assembly coupled to the light body by a handle pivot so as to be pivotable away from and toward the light body. A releasable latch assembly that retains the handle housing adjacent the light body may be provided.
