Abstract: A method for adapting the security settings of a communication station (12) depending on a security relevant event is disclosed, wherein the communication station (12) comprises a mobile terminal (16) with an identification module (18). Abstract: A method, a communication system and a remote server (6, 7) are disclosed for comparing biometric data recorded with different biometric sensors (1.3, 8) with reference data. In the inventive method, biometric data are recorded by the biometric sensor (1.3, 8). Simultaneously, the type of sensor is determined and sensor-dependent parameters are determined depending on the type of the sensor (1.3, 8) outside the sensor (1.3, 8). The recorded biometric data are compared with reference data, whereas for the comparison the parameters dependent on the sensor (1.3, 8) are taken into account. Advantageously, a comparison of biometric data that have been recorded with sensors (1.3, 8) from different manufacturers is possible easily and reliably.

Abstract: A billing method and billing system to determine usage fees which are charged to the user of a digital telecommunications network, whereby a usage fee charged for a connection is determined prior to establishing this connection from statistical characteristics of previous connections of the user, is described. Usage fees are determined from a dynamic client profile, derived from one or multiple random variables of previous connections of the user, which is stored in memory and rederived after each new customer connection. In a simple variant, the client profile contains a value proportional to the average price per connection or to the average duration of a connection of the user. The random variables used to derive the client profile include, for example, the connection duration, the time of day, the day of the week, and/or geographic characteristics of previous connections.

Abstract: For subscribing a user to a service offered by a first application server (SIP-AS1) of an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem, a request for the service, addressed to a public service identifier of the service, is received from the user in a Call Session Control Function unit (S-CSCF). Abstract: The invention relates to a telecommunication method and a system suitable for same for establishing a connection with a mobile station, for example a GSM mobile telephone, of a subscriber located in a visited public land mobile network. According to said method the calling mobile subscriber in the visited public land mobile network prepares a short message, for example an unstructured supplementary service data message with the desired destination number and sends said message, which is then transmitted to a callback computer which establishes a connection between the calling mobile subscriber and the desired destination number. A connection to a called mobile subscriber in a visited public land mobile network is established by a callback computer whose number is assigned to the called mobile subscriber in the home location register.
