  • Patent number: 7160049
Abstract: An electromagnetic absorber formed of conductive fiber or the like, such as carbon fiber having an overall length corresponding to the wavelength of electromagnetic waves to be absorbed, is mixed into a base material to form an electromagnetic wave-absorbing pavement material. The electromagnetic wave-absorbing pavement material is used to form a pavement having an electromagnetic wave absorbing course. Further, an electromagnetic wave reflecting course is disposed under the electromagnetic wave absorbing course, and the electric length of the electromagnetic wave reflecting course is set to a predetermined value in relation to the dielectric constant so that electromagnetic waves reflecting off the surface of the electromagnetic wave absorbing course and electromagnetic waves reflecting off the electromagnetic wave reflecting course have opposite phases and thereby cancel each other out, whereby the electromagnetic waves are absorbed well.

  • Patent number: 7144376
Abstract: A magnetic field distribution measurement device (1) provides a non-contact magnetic measurement on a subject's chest at a plurality of coordinates and forms therefrom time-series magnetic field distribution data. A first arithmetic device (2) in response generates image data representing a three-dimensional, intramyocardial current density distribution. A second arithmetic device (3) receives a plurality of tomographic image data separately obtained by a tomographic diagnosis apparatus and processes the data to generate three-dimensional, anatomical image data. A display device (4) receives these data and displays on an anatomical image an image representing an intramyocardial current density. Thus in a ventricle a lesioned or viable part of myocardium can be readily identified in location, size, geometry and level. Furthermore, the anatomical image may be replaced with an image representing a normal stimulation propagation circuit and serving as a template.

  • Patent number: 6434255
Abstract: An image which represents a 3-D space virtually using a perspective method is displayed on a display, and an image of an information inputting person is picked up by a plurality of video cameras from different directions. While the information inputting person is pointing at an arbitrary position within a virtual 3-D space represented by the displayed image, a reference point which corresponds to the back of the information inputting person and a characteristic point which corresponds to a finger tip are respectively extracted from a plurality of images which are picked up by each of the video cameras, and the 3-D coordinates of these points are determined.

  • Patent number: 6385331
Abstract: Over an information input space to which an information inputting person comes, a pair of near-infrared light illuminators are arranged in such a manner that the illumination ranges thereof are adjusted so as to illuminate the information inputting person from different directions. A pair of near-infrared-light-sensitive video cameras are also arranged in different positions so as to correspond to the illuminators. The image pickup range of the video cameras is adjusted so that it is out of the range on the floor surface illuminated by the corresponding illuminator, while the information inputting person is within the image pickup range. A controller allows one illuminator at a time to be switched on/off. An image of the information inputting person is picked up by the video camera corresponding to the switched-on illuminator.

  • Patent number: 5819843
Abstract: A cogeneration system includes a gas engine generator acting as private power generating equipment for generating power to be supplied to private electricity consuming equipment, and a source-side heat exchanger connected to the gas engine generator through an exhaust heat recovery piping to act as a heat source. A heat medium is heated and evaporated through a heat exchange in the source-side heat exchanger. The resulting vapor is allowed to flow upward to be supplied to room heating heat exchangers. The vapor is liquefied through a heat exchange in the room heating heat exchangers. The resulting liquid is allowed to flow downward back to the source-side heat exchanger. This natural circulation of the heat medium is used for the heating purpose. Surplus exhaust heat is released through a generator to control the heat medium supplied to the room heating heat exchangers.

  • Patent number: 5734383
Abstract: According to the present invention, a solid model could be automatically generated with a feeling of sketch. When point sequence data inputted from a tablet are inputted in order to sketch a solid model, graphic recognition processing is performed. Next, a recognized graphic is subjected to automatic editing processing, and then a model generation plane for the graphic is generated. Next, a projection line for connecting a view point to a point on the tablet is generated in a coordinate system in a three-dimensional space. An intersection point between the generated model generation plane and the projection line is determined to derive edges, etc. Next, solid model data are derived by using the derived edges, etc., and the data are stored. The stored data (three-dimensional) are converted into two-dimensional coordinates, and they are displayed on the tablet.
