Abstract: Gel compositions that contain 1-dichloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (DNCB) are provided. Embodiments of the subject gel compositions include DNCB, an organic solvent and a viscosity agent, wherein the organic solvent and viscosity agent are inert with respect to the DNCB. Also provided are methods for using the subject compositions and kits for use in practicing the subject methods.
Abstract: Methods of debriding a skin wound are provided. Embodiments of the subject methods include contacting the skin wound with a hydrogel patch debridement composition to debride the wound. Also provided are systems and kits for use in practicing the subject methods.

Abstract: Methods for administering a dermatological agent to a subject are provided. In the subject methods an effective amount of a topical formulation of the dermatological agent is topically applied to a host. The topically applied formulation of dermatological agent is then occluded with a hydrogel patch, where a feature of the hydrogel patch is that it lacks a pharmaceutically active agent. Also provided are methods of treating a subject for a disease condition by administering a dermatological agent to the subject. Also provided are kits for use in practicing the subject methods. The subject methods and compositions find use in a variety of different applications.

Abstract: Methods of transdermally delivering a therapeutic amount of an indole serotonin receptor agonist to an individual in need thereof, e.g., to provide a therapeutic level of an indole serotonin receptor agonist to an individual in need thereof, are provided. Also provided are transdermal formulations of indole serotonin receptor agonists that find use in practicing the subject methods.
Abstract: Topical patch preparations that contain a delayed-type hypersensitivity inducer, e.g., 1-dichloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (DNCB), and methods for using the same are provided. The subject topical patch preparations are made up of an adhesive gel composition that is present on a support, where the adhesive gel composition includes the delayed-type hypersensitivity inducer, a water-soluble polymer gel, water and a water holding agent. In using the subject topical patch preparations, the topical patch preparations are applied to a skin surface of a subject and maintained at the site of application for a period of time sufficient for an effective amount of the delayed-type hypersensitivity inducer to be administered to the subject, where this maintenance period typically does not exceed about 60 minutes.
Abstract: Methods of producing a terminally sterilized topical patch preparation are provided. In the subject methods, a topical patch preparation is exposed to electron beam radiation, preferably low level electron beam radiation, for a period of time sufficient to terminally sterilize the topical patch preparation. Also provided are the terminally sterilized topical patch preparations produced by the subject methods and methods of using the same.
